You will need: a Zinio account and a mobile device that is connected to the web

-A standard magazine will use 20-30mb of data.

-Some magazines, like National Geographic, can use around 100mb of data.

-Borrowing is unlimited, although your device’s storage capacity may limit the amount of downloads possible.

-There are no due dates, charges, or late fees. You could theoretically keep these magazines forever.

-You will need to use your mobile browser to borrow from the Wellington City Libraries’ collection and then open the Zinio for Libraries app to read.

The most common devices Zinio for Libraries is compatible with are iOS and Android.

In the search field (you may need to tap the

magnifying glass) type “zinio”. The

Zinio for Libraries app should be the second result.

You can read reviews and

information about the app or just tap

your device’s version of “install”.

Zinio for Libraries is free.

Once your device has installed Zinio for

Libraries go to your apps menu and open

the app.

Zinio for Libraries should appear and look similar to this.

orientation your screen should now look very similar to

Enter your email address from when you previously set

up your library Zinio account.

Press “NEXT”.

Press “LOG IN”.

If connected to the internet the app will automatically

sync with your online account. To borrow more items you will need to use

your browser using wcl.govt.nz/zinio.

Note these items have an arrow under them – this

means they are not downloaded yet. Tap the magazine to download or

open it.

To turn the page swipe the screen left or right.

To bring up the menu options tap the centre of

the screen – you can share to social media, bookmark pages, return to your app

library and more.
