TRANSFORMER

• A centre-tapped step-down transformer is used to provide a suitable voltage to the full-wave rectifier

Page 6: Automatic water(motor) Controling System

DIODE

• A diode is a specialized electronic component with two electrodes called the anode and the cathode. Most diodes are made with semiconductor materials such as silicon, germanium, or selenium.

FULL-WAVE RECTIFIER

• The full wave rectifier consists of four rectifier diodes and one 2000µF,one 1000µF capacitors. 100 Ohm resistor. It is used to convert the AC supply into pulsating DC.

REGULATOR IC

• Connected to the rectifier outputs are voltage regulators IC 7805. It is also used to supply the DC voltage to support current flow between the metallic contacts.

TRANSISTORS

• Transistors are semiconductor devices used to amplify and switch electronic signals and electrical power. At least three terminals for connection to external circuit are present.

Page 12: Automatic water(motor) Controling System

RESISTOR

• A resistor is a passive two-terminal electrical component that implements electrical resistance as a circuit element.

BUZZER

• A buzzer or beeper is an audio signalling device.

RELAY

• The relay used here is a Single Pole Double Throw (SPDT) relay. • It use as a switch in this

project.• It is a 6v Relay . When it get

maximum voltage from 555 timer it start the motor or water pump automatically.• When it get low(less than 6v or

0v)from 555 timer it turn off the motor or water pump.

LED

• Three LEDs are used to indicate water level -

Upper level. Middle level.

Lower level.
