PROGRESS OF WORKS& Solution for Completion

ofCross Border Facility Project,

Covered Walkway,

On overall Cover Walkway is 60% completed

4 majors works remain:

(1)Steel Frames Top, (one side only)

(2)Roof Tiles,(3)Decors,Anyway all materials and labors are 90% on site. So, it will be completed at least 95% by 30 Sep 2014.

(4) Issue of Column Lining. The Item is not in the BOQ. A daywork or contingency for this item is proposing and need to be approved ASAP.

* Firstly, Engineer is asked to issue instruction for carrying out the works of column lining.

After conducting site reviews, the following conclusion are:

I. With the current resources, try all the best it can achieve: Three (3) buildings (1. CCA, 2. Admin, and 3. Electricity &

Pump Room) will be effortfullly completed by 31 Aug 2014. To achieve 98% completion of these 3 Bldgs works has to be helped to facilitate by Consultant & Employer (MPWT).

II. However, Contractor’s efforts need to be added such as materials and labors in order to complete other buildings & external works by end of September 2014, includes: External Works such as Concrete Road Slab, Street

Lightings, Garden & Tree Planting, Water Tank etc… will be completed by mid September.

Three (3) buildings: (1. Immigration, 2. Staff Accommodation and 3. Veterinary & Plant Bldgs) will be effortfully completed only 95% by 30 September 2014.

CBF Project:

CCA building,

On overall CCA Bldg is 85% completed

(1) External Ceiling & (2) Interior Lighting , all will be completed by 31 Aug 2014

(3) Windows and Entrance Doors: it is now working on the frames, glass to be on site on 25 Aug 2014

CCA Building, about 85% completed except the following works to be finished:1) Exterior ceiling: support structures is 100% completed and all

ceiling materials are already on site; but 1 more team of exterior ceiling workers need to bee added, because the current team is working for interior ceiling of SA buildings.

2) Interior Lighting: materials & electricians are not in place. Need to be mobilized by next Monday 18th of Aug.

3) 4 Restrooms (WC) : works are progressing but only for floor and wall tile mount; to be completed by 31 Aug 2014, 3 more skill worker is needed to attached toilets & tub to water tapes. All materials are on site.

4) Window: works are progressing and will be completed by 24 Aug 2014. Frame & other accessories materials are on site, but Glass is not yet. Glass need to be mobilized by 20 Aug.

5) Interior & Exterior final layer of painting: works are progressing, will be completed by 31 Aug.

6) Site Clean up: 5 workers for this works already mobilized on 13 Aug.

ADMIN building,

On overall Admin Bldg is 90% completed

Administration Building, about 90% completed except the following works to be finished:1) Replacement of Doors: Old doors was removed and materials already on site;

but workers not in place. Need at least 10 more workers and to be mobilized by 18 Aug.

2) Exterior Ceiling: support structures is 100% completed and all ceiling materials are already on site; but 1 more team of exterior ceiling workers need to bee added by 18 Aug.

3) Interior Lighting: materials & workers are not in place. Need to be mobilized by next Monday 18th of Aug.

4) 8 Restrooms (WC) : works are progressing; will be completed by 24 Aug 2014. all materials & worker are on site.

5) Main Entrance & Windows: works are progressing and will be completed by 24 Aug 2014. Frame & other accessories materials are on site, but Glass is not yet. Glass need to be mobilized by 20 Aug.

6) Interior & Exterior final layer of painting: works are progressing, will be completed by 31 Aug.

7) Roof Varnish Painting: will be completed by 31 Aug 2014, but materials and worker need to mobilized by 20 Aug.

8) Stair handrail: materials & workers are not in place. Need to be mobilized by next Monday 18th of Aug, but need to be quick approval by Consultant on the materials & shop drawing.

9) Site Clean up: 5 workers for this works already mobilized on 13 Aug.

Electricity & Pump Room: Building 100% completed, generator is already on site but haven’t yet moved into the room and connected with cable. It need to be tested and moved in and connected by 25 Aug.

Immigration Building, about 70% completed; the following works to be finished:

1) Roof Top (Tray-So), and Roof tiles: All materials & labors are onsite.- Roof Top (Tray-So): need 45 days to be completed.- Roof Tile: ¼ completed, and ¾ will be completed by 15 Sep.

2) Decors (Bottom & Top): Top 80% completed, and Bottom is ¼ completed. All materials and labor are on site. Need time 20 days.

3) Ceiling (Interior and exterior): Support structure is 100% completed. Ceiling attachment will be started whenever roof completed. Materials and Labor are in place. It only take 10 days. So will be completed by 25 Sep.

4) Interior Lighting: materials & workers are not in place. Need to be mobilized by 20 Sep and immediately start whenever ceiling completed.

5) Restrooms (WC) : 10% completed. It will be completed by 20 Sep since all materials & worker are on site.

6) Window: works are progressing and will be completed by mid Sep 2014. Frame & other accessories materials are on site, but Glass is not yet. Glass need to be mobilized by 20 Sep.

7) Floor tile & stairs: 10% completed. To be completed by 30 Sep since all materials and workers are on site.

8) Interior & Exterior of painting: works are progressing, will be completed by 30 Sep.

Staff Accom Building, about 70% completed; the following works to be finished:

1) Roof tiles: All materials & labors are onsite.- Roof Tile: ¼ completed, and ¾ will be completed by 31 Aug.

2) Ceiling (Interior and exterior): Support structure was started on 13 Aug. Ceiling attachment will be started whenever roof completed. Materials and Labor are in place. It only take 10 days. So will be completed by 10 Sep.

3) Doors: Doors on ground floor was 90% completed (remaining only 4 for rest rooms. All materials and labors are on site, so will be completed by mid September.


5) Restrooms (WC) : not yet start but it will be completed by 20 Sep since all materials & worker are on site.

6) Window: works are progressing and will be completed by mid Sep 2014. Frame & other accessories materials are on site, but Glass is not yet. Glass need to be mobilized by 20 Sep.

7) Floor tile & stair: 10% completed. To be completed by 30 Sep since all materials and workers are on site.

8) Interior & Exterior of painting: coating works are progressing, will be completed by 30 Sep.

Veterinary & Plant Building, about 50% completed; the following works to be finished:

On Overall 50% is completed.Additional materials and labors are needed and to be on site by 25 Aug for completion by 30 Sep 2014.

External Works: about 50% completed; the following works to be finished:

1) Street Lighting: Poles 80% completed. Cable & Lamps are not connected. Electricians are not in place. Need to be mobilized by 15 Sep.

2) Road Concrete Slab: 30% completed, Materials and Labor need to be added. 100% of materials to be on site by 25 Aug 2014.

2) Flag Poles: 50% completed. Steel Flag Pole is not on site yet. It need to be on site by 15 Sep.

3) Garden and Tree Planting: curbs for garden are 90% completed. Materials and labors Need to be mobilized by 10 Sep.

4) Immigration Control Booths: 70% completed. All materials and labors are already on site.

5) Gates: 0% completed and not on site.6) Others: Transformer & Electrical Supply, Fire Fighting System,

Water Tape System, 7) Site Clean up: 5 workers for this works already mobilized on 13

Contractor need advance financing estimately about US$500,000 to complete the works by September 2014.

Relay on IPCs of June & July (estimate about $700,000 including price adjustment) will not be enough fund to purchase all materials to the site.

Even if IPCs process today it will take another two months to get the money (will be by 15 Oct)
