In the bottom of a glass, muddle the mint, lime, and sugar until well blended and juicy. Add to a cocktail shaker with ice and rum, and shake for about 30 seconds. Pour into glass, top with club soda, give it a stir, and enjoy.

Fill remainder of cup with ginger beer and garnish with cucumber spear.
