In this document, I wanted to show you some interesting highlights from the show rather than taking you through these new devices.

The header above explains our current situation related to latest technology and implementing it to our business. MWC made this statement more meaningful this year by showcasing many known

technologies within various new products!

Last year, wearables were the hot new category making waves. This year, it’s virtual reality. At the end of 2015, Samsung put VR on the map with Gear VR – a product that is leaps and bounds ahead of any other phone-based VR headset. It gave Galaxy phone owners high-quality virtual reality for 100 bucks. At CES, Facebook showed its final Oculus Rift headset, and at MWC we got final launch details for our favorite VR system, the HTC Vive, which actually lets you walk around and interact with virtual worlds.

Ear in terms of wearables. It is promising you to look less to your phones screen if you don’t need to do so!

Other than that, some watch makers are finally adding basic smart features to their watches, and fitness bands are still creeping along, but it looks like we’ll have to wait until the second half of 2016 before we get to see the next generation of smart watches, or any other wearable products that try something fresh.

Sometimes tech revolutions are about a single product. Other times, technology takes years to bubble up, but has a big impact when it does. Drones, 3D printing, and hoverboards are all in the news a lot, but in the decade to come, prepare to read about 5G mobile networks, which could be faster than any Internet you’ve probably ever used, and Li-Fi, which is like Wi-Fi but uses light instead of radio waves to transmit data. And graphene may be the material that holds the next generation of super-flexible tech products and gadgets together. It will be several years before you’ll see any of these technologies in the wild, but all three of them could herald huge changes.

As the mobile industry strives to maintain its pace of innovation, graphene has much to offer -helping to solve many problems including flexibility, smart batteries and sensors. Graphene can help to facilitate the next generation of mobile technology from chips and interconnects for data communication to screens and casings. For example, the strong and flexible nature of graphene makes flexible displays and bendable batteries possible and its excellent sensing ability can be used in the next generation of wearable electronics and will help to provide the building blocks for the internet of things.

In many of the stands, there were no ”device specs sheets” near by the new devices. That’s the reality as all the devices are getting more homogenous in terms look and feel and technical capabilities, no one is looking to these technical features anymore.

Consumers want companies to listen their needs and give them more useful functionalities which they can benefit more! Samsung did it perfectly well with the new Galaxy Edge 7, by providing a better handling on the edges, with an increased battery life, better camera performance on low light, water-proof body and bringing back micro SD slot back.

This is showing an important trend. There are certain times, where companies should pause focusing non-sense innovations and focus on what their customers really ask from them!

MOBILITY IS HAPPENING THROUGH CONNECTIVITY VIA MOBILE!

Ford showed may new apps to connect in car systems while Samsung unveiled its Auto Connect system, and Volvo, Summit, and Qualcomm also made announcements.Many of the cars have already digital screens with integrated infotainment systems and 3rd party app but with Qualcomm processors, it is also possible to link many sensors on wheel to monitor the health of the driver or measure their attention. Also it is possible to unlock the car and start the engine with fingerprint!

Robots are getting an image makeover, and they’re becoming a lot cuter, funnier, and more helpful. At MWC alone, there were several robots designed to help out.

Sony’s Xperia Agent is a helper robot that sits in your living room or kitchen, like an Amazon Echo. But it makes cute noises, looks at you, and generally wants to make you smile every time you see it.

Pepper the robot can speak in emotional tones and even appears to wear eye liner to soften its face. In the back of our heads, we know the robotic revolution may not end well for humanity, but how can we say no to those eyes?

I was very excited when it was released for the first time, believing that it will be the real competitor for Apple’s iOS for the future of mobile. Things didn’t go as expected and I believe Microsoft itself is the biggest reason behind it…

We can count the number of new Windows Phones we’ve seen this year on one hand. The death of Nokia as a phone maker stole the last breath of life in Microsoft’s long-troubled OS, and Windows 10 has done nothing to turn the tide. Like BlackBerry 10 and FireFox OS, it’s sad to see alternatives to the Android-iOS duopoly perish.

TELCO business is changing, their main business from SMS and voice is turning into data. GSMA, as an organization is working hard to keep the business moving by creating new programs with tech giants.

RCS (Rich Communication Services) is an ongoing GSMA program designed to create cross-operator communications similar to SMS that bring additional features, such as group messaging, IP voice calls, and file-sharing — features you no doubt recognize from proprietary messaging platforms such as WhatsApp, Telegram, and Facebook Messenger. But while SMS works across operators, the aforementioned Internet messaging services don’t — and Google is partnering with a myriad of mobile operators in a move to expedite the rollout of Rich RCS on Android.

GOOGLE IS MAKING THE LAST FAVOR TO TELCOS IN TERMS OF SMS COMMUNICATION

I am sure many of us thought that idea before, ”what if we our phones become modular to give us a chance customize it and use add-ons to improve functionality”

The LG G5's modular design lets you swap in a freshly charged battery with the press of a button as well as various modules that add capabilities. LG's Cam Plus, for example, adds dedicated camera buttons and additional battery life to the G5. Another module adds hi-fi audio capability. And with LG opening up modules to third parties, we expect to see many more interesting add-ons for the G5 later this year.

If VR is the next big thing, than consumers should start being a part of it by creating the content! Samsung Gear 360 is the product to do this…

The Samsung Gear 360 is a twin-lens ball of a camera that captures spherical 30-megapixel photos and not-quite-4K resolution video (3,840x1,920 pixels). Each of the Gear 360's f/2.0 fisheye lenses covers a 195-degree angle of view that, when stitched together using a Samsung Galaxy S7 (or other select Galaxy phones to be named later), gives you a full 360x180-degree view to explore with a VR headset or by dragging around your fingertips on a touchscreen or your cursor on a computer.

What's better than a hot new phone? How about a six-wheeled robot that delivers groceries to your door? This robot, by Starship Technologies, can carry up to three bags of groceries. It's covered in cameras (nine of them) to help it avoid obstacles, and can summon a remote operator to help navigate if it gets into trouble.

So maybe a built-in projector isn't for you. But who hasn't ever wondered if the monsters under your bed or in your closet had returned? Wonder no more, for the rugged Cat S60 has a built-in thermal imaging camera.

Cat's devices are directed towards folks who work in extreme environments, including construction and emergency first response. A thermal imaging camera that can detect heat signatures through walls would likely come in handy for that market segment.

The ZTE Spro Plus is a 500 lumen laser projector that doesn't need a single wire. You can fire up the streaming media app of your choice, because it's got a built-in LTE internet connection and runs

Android on its high-res touchscreen.A 12,000mAh battery provides gives you up to a six-hour movie marathon, while built-in JBL speakers provide sound.

Barcelona is installing 200 trash cans that use the low-power Sigfox wireless network to report when they're getting full so the city can empty them sooner -- and not have to send collectors out to trash cans that aren't full.

The latest connected toothbrush has a built-in accelerometer and gyroscope, and it uses the smartphone to help you brush your teeth better. It's called the Oral-B Genius. Stick your phone to the bathroom mirror (it comes with a suction mount) and line your face with the front-facing camera. Oral-B's app merges data from the camera and the brush to track the position and movement of the toothbrush. It then highlights the zones where you've spent an inadequate amount of time. An API and SDK will allow developers to build a real ecosystem of connected apps.
