The history of Rzeszow University of Technology goes back to 1951 when The Evening Engineering School was founded.
When the right academic and scientific standards had been reached, steps to change the status of the school were successfully undertaken, creating the first independent Higher Engineering School on 25th June 1963 on the basis of 153rd ordinance of the Council of Ministers.Rzeszów University of Technology acquired its present status on 1st October 1974 on the basis of ordinance of the Council of Ministers passed on 19th
September 1974.Rzeszów University of Technology provides higher education at 5 faculties:

THE UNIVERSITY OF RZESZÓW was established in 2001 through the merger of Higher Pedagogical School, Rzeszów branches of Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin and the Economics Faculty and the Agricultural Academy in Cracow.
