We know that one day we will stand at the judgment seat of God (2 Cor. 5:10; Rom. 14:12). Since all of these things are absolute truth, they should influence us to live holy lives. If our sins have been washed away (Acts 22:16, Acts 2:38), if we are seeking things above with our affections on things above (Col. 3:1-2), if we are walking in the light (1 John 1:7), if we are striving each day to do as instructed in 2 Pet. 1:5-11, then we can, as John says, know eternal life is ours.

Be ye Holy

1 Peter 1:15-16 “But as he which hath called you is holy, so be

ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye

holy; for I am holy.” We know that one day we are going to shed

these earthly bonds (Heb. 9:27; 2 Cor. 5:1). We know that one day we

will stand at the judgment seat of God (2 Cor. 5:10; Rom. 14:12).

Since all of these things are absolute truth, they should influence us to

live holy lives. Only by living holy will we be able to look with great

anticipation and joy for that day to come (Phil. 1:20-21, Phil. 3:13-

14).

A holy life is one that is dedicated to God, one that is disci-

plined by God and one that is distinctive for God (Rom. 12:1;

Heb. 12:5-13; 1 Pet. 2:9). There will be obstacles placed in our

way in order to prevent us from being holy, the devil will see to that

(1 Pet. 5:8), but with God on our side, we will overcome all obsta-

cles and one day gain the greatest victory imaginable (Rom. 8:31, 1

Cor. 10:13, 1 Cor. 15:57). If our sins have been washed away

(Acts 22:16, Acts 2:38), if we are seeking things above with our

affections on things above (Col. 3:1-2), if we are walking in the

light (1 John 1:7), if we are striving each day to do as instructed in 2

Pet. 1:5-11, then we can, as John says, know eternal life is ours.

It is an honor to have you join us in worship at the

Northside Church of Christ! Our mission is to save

souls and to help souls stay saved. We extend our

sincere love towards you and we encourage you to take

advantage of the opportunity to have a bible study with

members who are eager to study with you. If you do not

share our like faith, this bible study, as well as your visit

today, offers a two way opportunity: (1) We have the

chance to share with you the gospel of Jesus Christ and

the essential steps to salvation. (2) You have the chance

to hear, believe, repent, confess, and be baptized where-

by being added to the Church of Christ. We welcome

you to investigate what you hear and see today. You

will be able to ask your biblical questions and receive

biblical answers that will guide you to make an in-

formed, life changing decision. Thank you for being our

special guest! Please come again.

At Work Ministry

Please continue to register for our 38th Annual Ladies Inspirational Day and sign up to work on com-mittees. This year’s event is all about being ready for wherever and when-ever the Lord sends us. It’s our prep-aration!! Ladies Are You Ready? Listen up for another chance to win a registration gift!

For all ladies attending the National Ladies Lectureship in April, your balance is due on TODAY, Sun., March 27th. NO EXCEPTIONS.

We need ALL ladies (seniors and youth) to answer the “Macedonian Call” (Acts 16:9-10). We want to make an impact with our Ladies Bi-ble Class and Ladies at Work (LAW) Ministry. Please attend our Ladies Bible Class on the 2

nd and 4

th

Thursday of each month from 7:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. We want to encour-age you to use and share your talents. If you can sew, sing, cook, or have any other talents; we need YOU! Some of our topics have been chosen and activities have been planned, but your presence is needed for all of this to be implemented. Our theme for the year is: “Women Walking with the KING.” Our topics will be centered on leadership lessons from women in the bible: Eve: Leaders are the target for temp-tation Rebekah: Leaders are always willing to give Tamar: Leaders confront hypocrisy Miriam: Leaders look out for the helpless Deborah: Leaders inspire their fol-lowers Ruth: Leaders demonstrate loyalty Ladies, please walk with us this year with the King of kings and Lord of lords. Remember Isaiah 6:8 when the Lord asked, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then said Isai-ah, “Here am I; send me.” In es-sence ladies, come over to “Macedonia” and help us. Did You Tell Someone About Jesus?

Matt. 28:19-20 is the great

commission given to members of

the body of Christ. As Christians,

it is our responsibility to Tell,

Talk and Teach others about

Jesus. Telling someone about

Christ will often open the door to

Talk with them about Him. You

can then Teach them or invite

them to Church where they can be

taught. We encourage each Chris-

tian to take advantage of such

opportunities. If you know of a

prospect, and for some reason

cannot conduct a personal Bible

study, please give their contact

information to Bro. and/or Sis.

Oliver or to one of our Leaders.

Welcome to the Family!!
