Bo is a baby wooly mammoth born to a wooly mammoth herd leader called Cristo and his wife Freda. The family lives happily in avast pre-historic island continent large enough to have manifold animal habitats, where in one habitat the awareness of anotheris rare and then too in the form of legend. Bo is a cute, lively, naughty and inquisitive kind of kid with a penchant for food; he isoften hungry.

The environment in which the Mamos live is populated by many other kinds of jungle animals too like birds, other mammals,saber-toothed lions and much more. One day, without warning, this land is hit by a freeze-over, a sudden climatic change thatcovers everything in snow in a matter of hours. The process is replete with thunder, rain and storm. As confused and frightened animals run for cover the Mamos are separated from their herd. And when they find shelter in acave they must forage for food to feed Bo. Braving the hostile environment outside, Cristo goes first only to never return. Freda

then leaves Bo alone in order to look for Cristo. Eventually both mysteriously disappear. Cristo is washed away to Dino-land whileFreda falls from a cliff to an icy shore.

Bo is left to his own devices. He exits the cave and his adventure begins. He befriends a mountain eagle by the name of Ron anda nutty squirrel called Zipp. Together they embark on a journey to find Bos parents, first his father Cristo and then his motherFreda. The progress of this intrepid group is interlaced with comical situations, wise cracks, attitude and variegated gusto.Bo and his friends encounter mortal danger in the form of wicked saber-toothed lions Hatcher and his two goons, Brute and Fun-ny. But intervention from Myron the saber-toothed king lion helps the group to evade Hatcher for a while. They continue theirjourney along with a new found friend referred by Myron; a wizened two hundred year old turtle by the name of Kabir. The episodes of Bo Mamo follow several tracks like that of Freda with some caring penguins, Cristo with dragon Max in Dino-land,Myron and Falon (his second in command) and a marauding gang of Tyrannosaurs Rex hell bent on destroying an out-of-placeCristo and Max. The story unfolds through these sequences as everyone is caught up in a momentous time of turmoil that hasunsettled age-old ways of life. There are thirty different kinds of engrossing characters that populate the series.

The episodes are filled with acts of bravery, narrow escapes, skirmishes, hilarity, a sound moral standing of the heroes Bo, Ron,Zipp and those they befriend in their quest. Continuing episodes show Bo grow from a timid little baby to a smart young elephantquickly adapting to a life in the wild on his own terms by relying on his intelligence and guts. It earns him the respect of his friendsand the admiration of others they encounter.
