INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE IN DENMARKNOVEMBER 15-17, 2017
Be part of setting the agenda for children’s development! Why should art and culture play a vital role in childhood education and care? In what way can art and culture interact with learning in schools? How do sustainability and the UN’s 17 development goals relate to cultural formation of 0-18 year olds?
The conferences will create a room for sharing knowledge and experiences and promote new strategies for Nordic and European partnerships and networks devoted to the integration of art and culture in children’s everyday lives. Dealing with the fact that our children are the present and the future, the conferences will have a special attention to sustainability in a cultural perspective.
The conferences will be a mix of presentations, dialogues, workshops, and time for networking. All content will be in English. It is possible to attend each conference or each day separately.
The conferences are directed towards everbody working with Children, Art & Culture: Nordic and European officials, politicians and researchers, and first of all artists, librarians, teachers, and pedagogues working with children, general education, art, and culture.
The conferences will mark the closure of Aarhus 2017 - European Capital of Culture - concerning the children, art, & culture-activities - with a range of hosts: The Agency of Culture and Palaces as hosts for the ACEnet, Cultural Children of Europe (CCE) - Kulturprinsen, Viborg, and BUM - Network of Culture for Children and Youth in Central Denmark. CCE and BUM are funded by Central Denmark Region and Aarhus 2017.

3. Architecture workshop: By Amok – Byg Amok, Børnekulturhuset i Aarhus Architecture is much more than building, designing and decorating. It’s also about creating an awareness of the world that surrounds us. The buildings, which we pass every day, and the houses we live in are such a natural part of our daily life that we hardly notice how they affect our lives.
