GEZE is the first manufacturer to offer a completeseries of automatic door drives in the 7-cm range.

The Slimdrive product range comprises automaticdoor systems for side hung doors and sliding doors,including telescopic and circular sliding doors as well as folding doors.

The extremely slim design makes it possible for thedesigner and architect to locate the drives so thatthey are nearly invisible in the elevation.

This series of drives distinguishes GEZE as a one-portcall for all fittings requirements, offering the desi-gner the largest possible design freedom as well asindividual design solutions.

Reduction means perfection. The Slimdrive SL hidesthe powerful drive system for automatic slidingdoors in only 7 cm, which fits elegancy into eachstraight façade and therefore makes room for yourown design. The cover height of only 7 cm alsohouses the safety system for sliding doors on escapeand rescue routes. The Slimdrive SL allows the useof GEZE I.G.G., which makes fittings disappear between the panes. Thus the idea fo an all-glassfaçade is consequently applied to the door sector.

The reduction to the essential optimises techniqueand out appearance thus making room for new freedom of façade design and offering noteworthyecological and economical advantages:

GEZE

In order to guarantee our name for reliability, GEZEhave introduced some good ideas. A low-wear andmaintenance-free high-performance DC motor drives an almost silent running gear. Power is transmitted by means of a toothed belt,deflection rollers are positioned in precision ball bearings. The leaf-weight is distributed evenly via 2 double rollers in the track profile.

Assembly

Slimdrive SL has been developed as a fully modularsystem with an all-aluminium finish. It consists ofmounting profile, track profile, cover and side parts.

Installation

Slimdrive SL derives its low-maintenance characterfrom the clearly designed and developed system with easily accessible components and full digitaltechnology, amongst other factors.

Fundamentally, Slimdrive SL-BO (Break-Out) exhibitsidentical features as Slimdrive SL-FR. The break outdesign makes it possible to swing the leaves open indirection of the emergency exit – basically a slidingdoor system with swing door hardware. The so-called Break-Out solution has of course beenofficially approved and certified for use on escapeand rescue routes (German standard).

Slimdrive SL-BO is available either single or double-leafed without side screens or alternatively swingout or fixed side screens as well as version SlimdriveSL-BI (Break-In) lieferbar.

Designed for the use on escape routes the sliding door system Slimdrive SL-BO/-BI is installed where-ever safety is the first priority.

GEZE integrated glass systems make it possible.Complete glass facades may be opened but thehardware is barely noticeable. The drive is the onlycomponent that remains but measuring only 7 cm it is so small that it can be concealed very easily.

The GEZE I.G.G glass panels are held in place bytechnology embedded in between two panes ofglass. Transparency is all that remains due to ingenious ceramic coating. Innovative, elegant, reliable and completely transparent – with Slimdrive I.G.G (frameless glass) all this is no longer a contradiction.

This innovative technology demands change: GEZE does not have a mass produced product with Slimdrive SL-I.G.G. In close co-operation witharchitects and planners GEZE develops the idealsystem for each and every type of building. Individual! Precise to the millimetre! That much invisibility requires total precision.

The espagnolette locking system for Slimdrive SLfrom GEZE is designed for increased security andprotection against break-ins.

The multi-point locking system – to the top frameand into the floor – provides a solid restistanceagainst break-in attempts.

This does not mean that the 70 mm slimline look of the Slimdrive had to be compromised: The locking bar has been integrated invisibly intothe slim-frame ISO profile system.

Unlocking can be actuated electrically or mechanically.

The espagnolette lock has been designed for thefollowing GEZE products:

Programme switch functions

� Shop closing timeThe door opens and closes only when someone exits. The internal movement detector remains active, whereas the external detector is inactive

� AutomaticThe door opens when it receives a signal triggered by the movement detector or activator and closes after a pre-set time. A photoelectric safety barrier ensures that the door opening isprotected on the closing cycle, thus eliminatingpotential trapping hazards.

Programme switch designs

The programme switch is 80 mm wide and is availabe as surface or flush mounted version.

Programming and service diagnosis

The Slimdrive SL sliding door is programmed via the programme switch exclusively. A dual 7-segment display provides informationregarding the operating status, error messages, service intervals and all function parameters.

A key operated programme switch is mandatory for Type FR.
