HOLY FAMILY PARISHIONERS: Welcome to the 3rd Sun-day & 3rd week of Lent! We have over 2 weeks under our belts as to re-forming our lives & grow-ing in holiness. Let us not waste one of the days this week to make ourselves better & holier in the sight of our God. If we look at the graphic to the right, we see three beautiful & challenging actions, ones that derive from our Lenten season of sacrifice & renewal. How have we been doing in each of these areas? Have we prayed more since Ash Wednesday? Did we sign up for the Adult Education class that is being of-fered this Lent? Have we signed up for a 30-minute slot on Thursdays here for Adoration, or for a 60-minute slot at St. Mary’s Hospital Chapel? Have we come to a daily Mass this Lent? Have we prayed a rosary each day? Have we opened our Bible to reflect on God’s Word? Have we come to the Stations of the Cross? How much fasting has been part of our Lenten lives? Have we kept the Lenten regulations of Fast & Absti-nence? Have we given up those things which keep us from a closer relationship to Jesus, the Lord of the Pas-sion? Have we refrained from actions that cause more sin in our lives? Have we sacrificed at all this Lent? And, have we been active in doing good works of almsgiving & love since Ash Wednesday? Have we for-given someone or shown mercy to others? Have we given money to a charity, to the parish, to a needy fam-ily? Have others been uplifted & enriched due to our loving deeds? May we this week be people of prayer, almsgiving, fasting, & good works. Can the Lord expect any less? YOUR “LENTEN PASTOR,” FATHER JOE HOLY FAMILY SCHOOL BOARD VACANCIES:
