Elkhart Handline Nozzles

Innovative new products, an impressive list of safety features and a record of uncompromised quality and reliability make Elkhart nozzles the industry standard for firefighting nozzles

Flex AttackA nozzle that lets you go from CAF to H20 with a click of the tip. From the wet CAF attack setting, click left for a big open waterway and dry foam or click right for a tight 15/16” water only smooth bore. The patented, unobstructed variable orifice waterway won’t strip CAF bubbles.

• Free swivel inlet

• Hard anodized, Teflon® impregnated aluminum alloy body and pistol grip

• Aluminum/bronze shut-off handle

• Zytel® ST801 polyamide center barrel

Storage, Handling, and Self Life

FireAde 2000 AR-AFFF is to be stored in it’s original storage containers, drums, and tanks. The concentrate is subject to evaporation if exposed to air. The continer should be sealed at all times. If exposed to UV sunlight the red pigment may fade out. This will NOT effect the performance or warranty. The recommended storage is 35°F to 120°F (2°C and 49°C). Properly stored FireAde 2000 AR-AFFF with no dilution and contamination has an indefinite self-life. FireAde 2000 AR-AFFF is not affected by extreme low or high tempetures.

Environmental Information

FireAde 2000 AR-AFFF contains no ingedients reportable under the Superfund Amendments and Reauthorzation Act (SARA) Title III, Section 313 of 40 CFR-372 or Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA). FireAde 2000 AR-AFFF is non-toxic, non-corrosive, non-harzardous, and biodegradable. It contains no PFOA and PFOS. No adverse effects should be expected if entered into ground water, surface water, storm drains, and local biological sewage treatment facilities. For further details refer to FireAde 2000 AR-AFFF Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS).

Applications

FireAde 2000 AR-AFFF is used on a vast range of Class A and Class B fires. Typical applications include warehouses, spills, storage tanks, loading docks, loading racks, process areas etc. FireAde 2000 AR-AFFF like it’s predecessor FireAde 2000 is applicable at 0.25% on Class A Fires as a wetting agent.

Physical Properties

The Scotty 4070 “FoamCheck Pro” is a device for obtaining real-time measurement of the percentage of foam concentrate in fire fighting hose lines. The user simply runs fresh water through the Sensor Tee (after mounting it on the discharge side of the pump) while pressing the “Zero” button on the Display Console for five seconds. Then set the pump’s foam proportioner (such as the Scotty 4071) to 1% and flow foam/water solution while holding the “Cal” for five seconds. The Console is now ready to display the real-time measurement of foam concentration flowing through the Sensor Tee.

The Scotty 4070 FoamCheck Pro consists of the Display Console (5.7” x 3.8” x 2.3”), a 1-½” Sensor Tee with either NHT or NPSH threads and a 5’ long cable for connection to the Display Console. The FoamCheck Pro is self-powered by 2 AA batteries, which are included. The maximum recommended operating pressure for the 4070 FoamCheck Pro is 300 PSI.

The HEROPipe™ System

World’s first lightweight, safe and simple, floor-below, high-rise master stream system.

High-rise fires present incredible challenges for firefighters while threatening the safety of civilians and firefighters alike. Previously, fires located above a high-rise’s 12th floor required firefighters to battle the fire either directly or from an adjacent building if possible.

The HEROPipe™ System has been specially designed for fires that ladder companies cannot reach. With the HEROPipe™ System, fire departments can effectively battle a blaze from the floor below, keeping firefighters at a safe distance from the fire’s most dangerous areas.

The HEROPipe™ System can be secured to nearly any type of building construction or height. The hydraulic stabilizers keep the system securely in place whether it is on a building with a window sill or curtain wall style construction.

PPV Blowers

Positive Pressure Ventilation (PPV) Blowers

Positive pressure ventilation fans/blowers are used to push fire and debris in the air toward an exhaust point. Because air heads from a high air pressure area toward a low pressure area, the concept pulls/pushes the fire and debris toward the exhaust point with it.

Self Supporting Interceptive Tanks

Closed Rubber Tanks

They are used for emergency interceptions of hazardous liquids (in uncontrolled tank or pool spills, etc.) or for creating water supplies, for extinguishing, snowmaking, etc.

The tanks are made of double-layer rubber-coated polyester fabric, which is well resistant to chemicals and mineral oils. The tanks have an inflatable tubus, which is inflated up to the pressure of 0.3 bar. The ring has a regular inflatable boats inflation valve and a safety valve that allows the maximum pressure of 0.3 bar.

The tubus of unfolded tank fills up with air. When filling the tank with liquid the tubus as well as the tank rise up to the maximum height with the rising of the liquid level. The tank is emptied through the discharge hose at the bottom of the tank. The end of the release pipe has a Storz coupling C with a seal upon which a fire hose can be attached to pump the liquid out of the tank. The tanks are packed in bags and take little space. They are resistant to temperature changes and have a long lifespan that can be prolonged by using lining. Thus the possibility of damage can be reduced when using the tank on an uneven or rough surface.

Filled tank can be covered with a tilt, preventing unwanted materials (atmospheric precipitations or dust) from entering the stored fluid.

Closed tanks are suitable for storage of various liquids, including water. They are pillow-shaped and equipped with two or more nipples, depending on the size of the tank. The middle nipple on top is intended for venting air, whereas other nipples are for filling and emptying of the tank.

The tanks are made of double-layer rubber-coated polyester fabric. The tanks are well resistant to chemicals, mineral oils, and industrial water and can be used in temperatures ranging from -30°C to +90°C. The tanks are produced in two colours: green and beige.

Closed rubber tanks’ main characteristics are that they take little space folded, they have a long lifespan, and they are easy to maintain.

Different sizes of closed rubber tanks are already available. In addition, adaptable manufacturing process enables the production of custom made tanks of different sizes and shapes.
