LA PARTICIPACIÓN ES UNA INVITACIÓN / participation is an invitation

Este video fue creado durante la preparación de la muestra La participación es una invitación en relación al intercambio con el Festival Internacional Fotografía Europea. El tema de la edición 2012, la cual sirvió como marco del proyecto presentado en esta publicación, fue “Vida en común: Imágenes para la comunidad de ciudadanos”, en el que participaron niños y jóvenes de los centros de educación inicial hasta secundarias locales.Durante las reuniones, debido a que los niños usaban diferentes lenguajes expresivos para investigar e interpretar el significado de los temas de comunidad y ciudadanía, sus palabras e ideas emergían cada vez con mayor claridad.Inmediatamente se hizo visible (y audible) que estábamos construyendo una especie de alfabeto, un léxico que compilaba los valores de ciudadanía, participación, ciudad, lugares públicos, migración, derechos, responsabilidades...Las reflexiones de los niños y jóvenes representan una oportunidad especial para re-lanzar, también en otros contextos, los temas de bienvenida, fronteras y democracia; y de provocar, como esperamos, nuevas historias y nuevas oportunidades de escucha.

This video was created during the preparation of the exhibition Participation is an Invitation in relation to the exchange with the international photography festival Fotografia Europea. The theme of the 2012 edition, which served as the framework of the project presented in this publication, was “Common Life: Images for the Community of Citizens”, and involved local schoolchildren from the infant-toddler centers to middle school.During the meetings, as the children used different expressive languages to investigate and interpret the themes and meanings of community and citizenship, their words and ideas emerged more and more clearly. It was immediately visible (and audible!) that we were building a sort of alphabet, a lexicon that inventoried the value of citizenship, participation, city, public places, migration, rights, duties…The children’s reflections represent a special occasion to re-launch, also in other contexts, the themes of welcome, borders, and democracy, and to elicit, we hope, new stories and new opportunities for listening.

Vea Vecchi arbetade som ateljerista på den kommunala förskolan Diana i Reggio Emilia i 30 år. Hon har utforskat och dokumenterat en rad projekt inom området barns många språk och är nu ansvarig för Reggio Childrens utställningar, ateljéer och förlagsverksamhet.

Den här boken utforskar konstens och kreativitetens bidrag till barns lär processer och undersöker ateljéns (en konstverkstad på en förskola) och ateljeristans (en pedagog med konstbakgrund) roller på de banbry-tande förskolorna i Reggio Emilia. Den gör så genom Vea Vecchis unika erfarenhet. Hon var en av de första ateljeristorna i Reggio Emilia och anställdes 1970.

Dels i form av minnen, samtal och reflektioner, ger boken ett unikt inifrån-perspektiv på det pedagogiska arbetet i detta utomordentliga lokala pro-jekt som fortsätter att vara en inspirationskälla för den tidiga barndomens praktiker och beslutsfattare över hela världen.

Vea drar med sig läsaren genom många vackra exempel, när hon förklarar ateljéns historia och hur ateljeristans roll har utvecklats. Centrala teman i boken är:

• lärprocesser och kunskapsbyggande• teorin om barns hundra språk och de poetiska språkens roll• vikten av organisation, arbetssätt och verktyg, i synnerhet pedagogisk

dokumentation• den fysiska miljön vitala bidrag• relationen mellan ateljén, ateljeristan, förskolan och dess lärare.

Flera belysande dialoger mellan författaren, pedagogistor, andra ateljeristor, lärare och arkitekter undersöker förhållandet mellan ateljeristan och andra som är aktivt engagerade i arbetet med små barn på förskolorna i Reggio Emilia.

Denna upplysande bok är viktig läsning för studenter, praktiker, besluts-fattare och forskare på förskoleområdet och även för alla inom andra utbildningsområden som är intresserade av förhållandet mellan konst och lärande.
