My name is Ninjin and I was born on 14th of November, 1996 in Ulan-Bator, Mongolia. I graduated from “Orchlon” International School in 2013. I am highly interested in Interior Designing. ‘Apple Tree’ Cafe

This was the first big project, which was financed by our school management, for our art class had to do. It is located in one end of our school basement, purposed to sell bakeries and drinks. This café is dedicated to anyone who wants to have a seat while they’re having a little break or a talk.

Every art class student nominated their individual designs to be chosen as the main design. The choice was to be made by our teachers, and my design was selected.

Purpose of the café: To sell bakeries and drinks to the people inside school

Used material: Acrylic and spray paint Time spent: About 7 days Number of people involved : Seven

Process We wanted to make an

environment where people can feel as if they were in a small room with a window on its one side and a big painting hung on the other side, in order to create friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

This painted window is the exact depiction of the real view behind that wall.

We ordered these heart-shaped chairs from a private business-runner, giving our own design idea. Also, tables were initially orange but was sprayed blue.

Interior Design Competition

Girl’s Bedroom

This is my design for teenage girls’ bedroom, which was awarded by second prize in a national Interior Design Competition. I included some traditional patterns on them, so it can differ from other colorful design ideas. I wanted to make it colorful because it gives friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Purple has luxurious feel and is associated with royalty and wealth. As for yellow, it brings joy and motivation, as well as its ability to speed up metabolism and stimulate the memory. Unfortunately, I have no pictures to show my process due to accidental loss.

Coursework Final work explanation In first part, since storks are

the delivery birds which carry babies to their home, they represent new life starting.

In second part, woman chasing a bird represents courage, hope and willingness. Flying bird is a symbol of ‘future and dream’, which clearly means that woman is running for her life to make it worthy.

In last part, an old woman standing alone is a symbol of ‘end of life’ while flying vulture represents ‘death. Vulture has transformed into a bird from the woman’s shadow, which again flies back to the first stage – birth.

From this, you can see that all things that happen in our life are connected to each other to make a never ending circle of life.

This Mongolian traditional dwelling is the greatest heritage from our ancestors dating back to 12th century, which is beautiful, spacious, well-organized as well as functional. Basically, this nomadic dwelling or ger(yurt) is consisted of a circular wooden lattice frame covered by felt, including toono(circular window on the top), khana(skeletal walls), uni(rafters), baagan(support) and haalga(doors). It is still used widely in many parts of our country due to its simple assemblage, intelligent design aspect and the idea of use of small space. Therefore, I wanted to include some traditional adornments to my design, and was inspired by my previous work.
