LOST WORLD OF THE URUANSMAJOR MEGALITHIC

DISCOVERIES IN THE NEW SOUTH WALES CENTRAL WEST.by Rex GilroyCopyright Rex Gilroy 2010.

In a past issue of Temple of Nim I have reported the discovery and on-going investigation of a massive granite templecomplex in the Orange district west of Bathurst. Over the years the Gilroys have made a great many discoveries ofsometimes quite extensive megalithic sites over a vast area of the New South Wales Central West, yet the Orangetemple, massive in extent, as Uru rock inscriptions found there state, is dedicated to a single deity, Ara, the MoonGoddess.

A badly deteriorated tall granite image found at this site, depicts, the Goddess, holding her protector, Ma, theOwl God. This image of the Goddess is unique, for it depicts her in human female form.

Where exactly this and another mighty temple complex to come is exactly were not telling. They are located

great distances from the region described. Our reasons for this secrecy are obvious. Can YOU imagine the vandalismthat would result should the wrong people learn the exact whereabouts of these treasures of Australias unknownhistory? And then there are the plagiarists wishing to cash in on the hard work of Heather and I and our trusted fieldassistants. Who can blame us for our secrecy?

The great Temple of Ara has a north side entrance between two massive boulders that lead one into a greatassembly square open to the west. At the north-west corner of the square an enclosure of massive rocks contains ahuge boulder into which a deep libation bowl was once excavated by means known only to the Uru, for modern drillswould blunt on this granite!

Beyond the libation bowl one comes to a circle of large boulders, at whose centre stands a massive altar stone.Continuing on through the trees which cover the Ara Temple one comes to a monolithic boulder once erected upon agranite base of two great stones, forming a rebirthing hollow through which initiates of the ancient Uruan mysteryteachings had to pass to be re-born into the mysteries, as stated in an inscription found at the site.

The real mystery to us is how such monolithic structures could have been erected by this advanced Stone-Agerace?

On Saturday 13th March 2010 Heather and I took our leading [female] assistant, Mihaela Hilla to this hugecomplex. As our leading [male] field assistant, Greg Foster and I had on a previous visit already videoed the site, on thislatest visit I only had to take photos of any rock inscriptions we might find, and we did indeed find more rock script, and two more large stone heads as well!

One of the latest inscription finds, wearing away upon the side of a large balancing rock stated:Ra-waa, son of Ma-na calculates here the phases of Ara, whose light

comes from the Sun. Behold the growth phases of Ara.Investigating a large formation of boulders enclosing a small temple where I had found rock script on a

previous visit, a 1.2 metre tall by 80cm wide rock with a depth of 77cm overlooked by me previously, turned out to be astone head, the faded engraving of two round eyes, a nose and smiling mouth suggested the face of the Goddess Ara.

Leading down from this structure is a narrow projecting granite section of cliff, at the end of which stands another, larger, roundish boulder bearing the smiling face of Ara.

*****Returning to the rebirth hollow Mihaela and I found that a stone overlooked by me on past visits was another

head of the Moon-Goddess, Ara. It measured 1.53 metres tall by 80cm wide top and bottom, being 40cm in depth.

The daylight was going by the time we made our way back to Heather waiting in the car [we had a lunch breakthere], and as we passed a large rock east of the rebirth formation, we came across yet another message wearing awayupon a rockface:

Behold Ara our Goddess. At her Temple give her praise within the enclosure. Here at the place of hidden enlightenment, at the Temple of Aras phases.

At this place of preparation for the reception of the hidden knowledge see thelight of Ara and Nim, the enlightenment that flows from Aras Cup to cause

all things to grow, see the Gods mate and rejoice*.[*ie eclipse].The Orange district Ara Temple is not alone, for a far larger complex has now been identified and is presently

being studied by the Gilroys. These great temples would have required the work of hundreds, even thousands of menin their construction. We will now investigate this second mighty achievement of the lost Uru.

THE GREAT HILL TEMPLE OF THE SUN AND MOON.by Rex Gilroy

    Copyright Rex Gilroy 2010.

The latest addition to the megalithic culture sites of the ancient Uru of the New South Wales Central West is bestdescribed as monolithic rather that megalithic due to the enormous proportions of many of the granite stonesemployed in its construction.

This latest addition to our collection of Uruan culture sites was reported to us in March this year, and at thetime of writing I have carried out two inspections of it. Like the Ara temple just described, it lies on private property,

which will protect it from undesirable elements.Heather and I were first shown this site on Tuesday 27th April by a couple who introduced us to the owner. Hehas kindly permitted us to make an on-going investigation of the site. The site consists of masses of huge graniteboulders erected to form a mighty complex. The site is a tree-covered hill which rises to a tall flat area on its north side, dropping down on its south side to a great flat lower summit upon which stands a temple built of massive stones.

Outside the small temple enclosure is this smilinghead of Ara. Photo copyright Rex Gilroy 2010.

The temple is open to the north. An opening between the stones at the south wall leads down a sloping avenueof stones to the bottom of the hill on its south side, and narrow passages lead off to east and west here and there toother structures.

At the north open side of the temple stands a massive weathered boulder. I immediately recognised it as animage of the Sun-God, Nim on my first inspection. At the south end of the temple I also recognised another massive, round boulder to be an image of Ara, the Moon-Goddess.

Following the sloping avenue I found an offshoot passageway to my right which led to a cavern formed by a

massive boulder resting upon two smaller ones. The right entrance rock face bore a sun-disc with downward pointingrays, with a second sun-disc carved atop the entrance with rays extending from its left side; and upon the left wall Ifound an inscription. It was later translated to read:

At this enclosure of the Temple dedicated to the Sun-God Nim and the Moon-Goddess Ara,their risings and settings are plotted and calculated at the Pillar* of the Sun and Moon*.

[*a stone marker yet to be identified].I realised on this visit that perhaps years of research lies ahead for me here, assisted by Heather and our

fieldworkers. The day was drawing on and I just had enough time to climb the highest part of the hill. Here on thesummit I found the outlines of ancient stone walls. Three small votive offering stones were recovered hereabouts, probably from a long-vanished shrine. I recognised the site as an ancient observatory.

Climbing back down the hill I had barely left the summit when I found a slab of rock carved in the left profileof a human head. Glyphs still visible upon the face were later translated to read:

The stars in bodies in the heavens above are on this land observedand their movements recorded by Ari our High Priest. The relic measured 31.5cm tall by 25cm wide and 7.7cm in depth. Here was the likeness and name of an

astronomer-priest of old Uru who lived perhaps 10,000 years ago!*****

On Tuesday 4th May 2010 Heather and I returned to this massive site. I measured the Nim head at the northopen end of the temple. The weathered image still shows two eye sockets and the faint outline of a nose and standsabout 3.5 metres tall by 14.32 metres in circumference. The Ara head at the south end of the temple rises 3.66 metrestall by 12.8 metres in circumference. It rests at an angle with two eye sockets still visible. A platform of stones lies at itsbase.

I soon discovered an inscription fading away on the back of the Ara head which read:Ara Behold the Goddess.

This led me to make a close inspection of the Nim head. On the back of the image was this fading message:The Sun Nim who rises over the land. Observed here and calculated hereat the Temple of the Heavens within the enclosure.

Here I had not only verified the image as Nim but also discovered the name of the Temple, a joint Nim-Aracomplex!

Upon searching the south side of the hill, to the east side of the great avenue of stones mentioned earlier, amassive granite boulder, flat on one side, erected upon a great granite platform attracted my attention, for I could seelarge letterings engraved into the flat side of the stone. This inscription was translated later to reveal a lengthydeclaration:

The Great Temple altar erected on this ground welcomes the early rising of the Sun, Nim,at the place of observation. Here also observe the monthly cycles of the Moons phases and course.

Her light energises the waters with her rays which is here calculated.

Behold the Goddess. Pour libations to her.Returning to the summit I carried out measurements. From the north end I found the structure to be 30.47metres in length by 38.7 metres width across its north open end, and 25.29 metres wide towards the south end. Some ofthe boulders making up this structure must weigh several hundreds of tonnes, so massive are many of these stones!

I then made another visit to the north summit to take more photos. Here I discovered further almost buriedoutlines of small stones marking former wooden structures that stood there thousands of years ago. In the setting sun Iclimbed down the hill to meet Heather and we drove home looking forward to our next investigation here.

    MAJOR URU TEMPLE UNCOVERED

ON THE BLUE MOUNTAINS.by Rex Gilroy

    Copyright Rex Gilroy 2010.

Back in December 2009 I discovered an Uruan temple at a dense bushland location. It turned out to be an ancientastronomical observatory temple. Amid scattered ironstone rubble I turned up two stone heads, there were altars androck script which continues to be uncovered here.

The first ironstone head recovered by me bore glyphs readingBa-la-ga. This head was 14.5cm tall by 14cmwide. The second head measured 17.5cm tall by 13cm wide and bore glyphs readingGa-cy. Here were the crudeweathered images of two astronomer-priests who served this temple-observatory perhaps 10,000 or more years ago.

I returned here on Sunday 22nd March with field assistant Mihaela Hilla. On this visit a small Temple of Nimwas located on a high point with a good view of the heavens. Upon returning to the observatory-temple however, a

small enclosure formed by three large ironstone rocks revealed a stone slab 31.5cm tall by 19cm wide by 3.5cm indepth, bearing an inscription:

At this temple observe at this secret place the Sun. Pour libations of water to the Sun, Nim.Observe with the Eyes the straight path of the Suns light the secret pyramid of the Sun.

Behold his image upon the wall[ie a distant cliff] where Nim rises[in the east].And in the direction of his setting behold the pyramid Temple of deep secrets.

Near the entrance of the enclosure I also picked up a 16.5cm long by 17cm wide, 1cm deep ironstone slabbearing a Nim face and the message:

For the Temple of Nim the Sun from Baga. Here was a votive offering stone. Nearby I found the third ironstone head carving. It measured 23cm tall by

12cm wide and was 13cm deep. An inscription on the forehead stated:Ay-ma, Priest of the Suns secret teachings here on this ground.

Nearby I soon afterwards recovered a 21.3cm tall by 21.5cm wide and 3.7cm deep slab bearing the face ofNim. Glyphs on the forehead spelt his name.

*****Mihaela and I found other relics, such as two large libation bowls hollowed out of a sandstone slope, each one

round with the bottoms bearing carved out flames to depict the Sun.There were altar stones also. One standing atop a small gathering area beneath bore the message:

Sacrifice to the Sun to his light. Gather in a body for him. Ha the Priest declares.A now dirt-filled sacred pool was identified by us. An inscription nearby read:

At the altar pour libations. At the pool of the God of the Sun, Nimall gather together. Gather and see and praise His light and image in the water.

*****We returned to this temple on Saturday 8th May 2010 an important day because a single incredible find awaited ushere which eclipsed all other inscriptions so far uncovered.

Nearby the altar stone just mentioned I was drawn to a spot walked over on my previous visits to this temple. There, lying on the ground I saw a lengthy sandstone slab. Faded glyphs covered it and something told me to remove itto avoid future damage by anyone else who might visit this spot. Excited at this discovery, Mihaela and I took turnscarrying this heavy stone as well as our backpack, through thick bush to a spot where Heather waited with the car.

The next morning I sketched the inscription and began the task of translating it, a job that took the best part ofthe day. Finally that Sunday night I was able to read the results to Heather:

Before the altar of the Suns face this stone records that a great tailed star

passed between the Sun and Uru** from the depths of the heavens seen by all.

It was shielded by its light, a Son of the Sun above the City of Bu-i. It was observedhere at the temple by Ha-ba-la to glow in light before Ara* and Nim*. Ho! All take heed.

    An omen from the Winter heavens. Recorded here by Da-la the Priest in the second moon of Winter***[*The Uruans called the Earth Uru; **Ara and Nim, here depicting night and day;

***The second moon, being the second month of Winter.]Here is an astronomical inscription recording the appearance untold thousands of years ago of an undoubted

comet. There is also mention of the City of Bu-I. Where was it located? Surely somewhere in the vicinity of thistemple. Here is another aspect of our investigation of this temple, namely to locate the habitation area of the peoplewho regularly attended this Nim temple so long ago. A considerable population would have to have occupied thedistrict for a temple-observatory of such importance to have been established here. Who can say what our future

    investigations will turn up.-0-

MASSIVE CARNOSAUR FOSSIL FOOTPRINT FOUND IN

    KURINGAI NATIONAL PARK.by Rex Gilroy

    Copyright Rex Gilroy 2010.

With winter almost upon us and no snakes to bother us in the bush, Gilroy leading field assistant Greg Foster and I willbe kept pretty busy with field trips, not only to archaeological sites of the Uru and other cultures, but also in the search

for fossil footprints.Greg, noted for his ability to sniff out fossil tracks, not only finds fossil hominin footprints, he is also adept at

finding dinosaur feet impressions as well; such as the fossil trackway of a three-toed biped embedded in volcanicdeposits at a Nepean River location in August 2008. Greg and I will be returning here soon.

There is plenty of evidence to show that dinosaurs ruled the Blue Mountains-Sydney district in Cretaceoustimes, as from numbers of bipedal feet impressions known to sites on the upper and lower Blue Mountains and outerwestern suburbs of Sydney. The cretaceous Period [66-144 million years ago] saw a variety of bipedal [Theropod]dinosaurs inhabiting what is now Australia.

On Wednesday 5th May 2010, Heather drove Greg and I to Kuringai National Park, where we hoped to locateancient rock inscriptions. While Greg walked in one direction through the bush, I was inexplicably drawn to a nearbyclifftop where, before me, filled with wet leaf litter I saw the distorted outline of a huge Carnosaur foot impression. Wesoon dug out the leaf litter, measured and photographed it.

The track was 1.3 metres in length by 82cm width across the outer toes. The central foot area was 73cm wideand the heel 23cm wide, the centre long, pointed toe was 47cm long by 19cm wide at mid-toe and 28cm wide at thebase. This toe was impressed 24cm deep, the centre of the foot went down 25cm and 19cm deep at the heel, the outertoes being 16cm deep.

The massive creature that left this track through time can be estimated to have been about 12 metres in lengthand of tremendous weight. The footprint belongs to the tyrannosaurid group, and although Tyrannosaurus himself hasyet to be positively identified from fossil remains in Australia, there is evidence of related species here in theCretaceous. It could be that, like Tyrannosaurus, the monster reptile that left this track weighted anywhere around 7 to10 tonnes.

A Carnosaur of about these proportions left his tracks in the Lark Quarry deposits at Winton, CentralQueensland about the same time as this footprint was laid down.

It was getting on for late afternoon, so after more photos and a search for more tracks nearby, which failed to

find any, we packed up and left after refilling the footprint to camouflage it from vandals.A return visit here by Greg and I is a must. Perhaps further searching might turn up other tracks left by the

monster even some distance away. Our big find certainly proves what others have been saying for years You dont know what youre going to

find when you go out bush-bashing with the Gilroys!-0-

SOLVING THE YOWIE MYSTERY.by Rex Gilroy

    Copyright Rex Gilroy 2010.

As I type this article my wife Heather and I have just two scenes to shoot to complete our first commercialdocumentary film on the Yowie.

This documentary will be different from any other so far produced by what we call the Yowie catcherbrigade, as we call our plagiarist opposition with their fake footprint plaster casts, wild stories of being chased by big

hairy monsters, and fake film footage of ape-suited individuals, all designed to get themselves in the media. The fact is, these people lack even one shred of physical evidence to prove their idiotic claims. Instead, they

have resorted, for some years now, to attempt to discredit our work and character in the eyes of the non-thinkingpublic, thereby pushing me out of the very fields of Relict Hominology, as well as Crytpozoology that I started. Theyfail to realise that, were it not for me having started both fields in Australia back in 1957, they would not be here. Theyfail to give credit where credit is due nor do they appreciate our scientific approach to uncover the fossilfoundations of the Yowie mystery, to reveal the true identity of these relict hominins.

This is all only to be expected, for our findings totally discredit the big hairy monster of our opposition andis a threat to the hairy monster that they are forced to perpetuate in the face of our more credible evidence!

*****What our opposition failed to grasp at the very beginning and what we have clearly demonstrated in our books

on the subject, is that the Yowie, or hairy people of ancient Aboriginal tradition, is a conglomeration of more than one

form of hominin. This is borne out by the comparative studies of fossil skull-types discovered Australia-wide by us,whichShows the Yowie to be Homo erectus, our immediate ancestor, in both his smaller and giant form, and another, moreprimitive race named by us proto-Homo erectus, whose skull-types possess superficial[?] Australopithecinecharacteristics. [There are also the little hairy people, Australias mysterious pygmy folk, but they do not figure in thepresent argument]. And, as we have pointed out countless times, these primitive [pre-Aboriginal] hominins were calledhairy on account of the native animal hide cloaks they wore, which parallel those of our Aboriginal people and notbecause they were the long-haired gorilla-like monsters of our opposition!

Our opposition have done all they can to dismiss our fossil remains and crude eolithic tools [often associatedwith skull etc finds] as unimportant, even when such finds have been made in isolated regions still believed to beinhabited by small groups of these relicts ancestors of ourselves. Yet they can not produce any such evidencethemselves and it all boils down to the fact that they are all just plain jealous of our good fortune!

*****Enough said on the foregoing, here we wish to extend our deepest appreciation for all the excellent work and

assistance in the field by our Webmaster and leading field assistant, Greg Foster. Together he and I have made some ofthe most important fossil hominin skull finds essential to the Yowie debate, and unearthed such a mass of fossilfootprints and eoliths to make even a PhD in palaeoanthropology more than a little envious. And, when it comes tofinding fossil hominin footprints Greg Sherlock Holmes Foster is superb!

And, when it comes to finding Yowie/Homo erectus footprints Greg and I have had incredible luck at times, such as the uncovering of a regularly used Yowie trail deep in the Kanangra wilds of the Blue Mountains, and duringour big 2008 expedition to the Carrai Plateau west of Kempsey, where we stumbled upon a large number of freshtracks of small to enormous-size impressions in a mud flat.

The Carrai Range, like the Blue Mountains, is a vast wilderness, long steeped in Yowie folklore, with earlysettlers tales of male and female primitives seen in the bush dating back to the early 19th century.

A point about Yowie footprints is that the best [authentic] examples can be favourably compared with thebetter preserved fossil examples attributed to Australian Homo erectus. This leads us into the anatomy and physiologyaspect of these living relict hominins, as presented in our book The Yowie Mystery Living Fossils from theDreamtime, in which we cover every aspect of these beings from the feet up, locomotion based upon skeletal evidenceand comparative primate material. This book is not for the untrained Yowie-catcher brigade, but the thinking reader.Other books on the yowie mystery already written by the Gilroys are presently awaiting publication, all of whichcontain sensible evidence not found in the publications of our detractors.

Over coming months Greg and I will be penetrating the Blue Mountains wilderness in search of Yowie activity. We will search rock shelters for fresh traces of overnight and longer camps of these tool-making hunter-gatherers, whoin their movements emulate those of our ancient Aboriginal people who moved from one locality to another, foreveron the move following the food chain.

This winter will be an excellent time for another Gilroy and Foster search in the Wollemi wilderness depths,

because in the summer months it is teaming with deadly brown, tiger and death-adder snakes! This region has longbeen the scene of sightings of the hairy men and women by campers and others going back generations.

*****I have pointed out that our research has identified three principal forms of Yowie/Homo erectus. Skull-types

of Homo erectus are distinct from modern human examples, being long and narrow [ie doliocephalic] with a forward-

projecting face, projecting brow ridges and receding foreheads as in the late erectus forms, or else they are flat-craniumtypes without foreheads as in the earlier, more primitive archaic forms. In these skull-types the brain was situatedbehind the eyes, whereas in the late erectus forms the brain moved upwards with the evolving forehead to its presentposition.

Average Homo erectus beings reached between 1.5 to about 2 metres height. The giant Homo erectus formswho followed the same evolutionary skull patterns [as indicated from our giant Homo erectus skull-types] reached atleast 3.6 metres height. They are tool users who manufactured often enormous stone implements of such weights thatthey are referred to as megatools, tools which only beings of exceptional height and strength would have been capable

of using. Living examples of these giants are responsible for the huge fresh footprints that have been known for years. They in fact favourably match well-preserved fossil examples of giant Homo erectus beings who shared Australia withtheir smaller relative perhaps 500,000 to 2 million years before the advent of our Aboriginal people.

A point still to be covered concerns the amount of hair grown by our living Homo erectus/Yowies. The hoaxclaims of eyewitnesses who report seeing ape-like beasts covered in long, thick hair does not stand up to scientificscrutiny. Scientists today believe that African and Asian Homo erectus, even Australopithecines, possessed not muchmore hair than we modern humans today, particularly in hot climates, and even in Australia this seems to have been therule. Even a thickset, muscular Yowie in reality possesses not much more hair than an average, well-built truckie!Indeed, Homo erectus was/is a fire-making, tool-making hominin, and the long-haired apish beast caricature of ouropposition flies in the face of scientific logic.

However, our third primitive candidate, proto-Homo erectus might just please our opposition because of hismore primitive appearance, although it is doubtful that even he possessed the enormous amount of hair that these

people would like to believe! From the amount of fossil skull material available to us, apart from average height Homo erectus, the giant-size

erectine examples have now been given the scientific name Megapithecus, while the more primitive proto-Homoerectus bears the new name Homopithecus, meaning Man-ape or Ape-man.

From the few skull-types we presently have of this race it is clear from the largest examples that here was aform of hominin of often strong, muscular build, and whose skull was flattish bearing a pointed sagittal crest. This racewould easily fit many of the more primitive physical descriptions of eyewitnesses, and therefore perhaps there remainliving examples of this race, sharing the bush with his other two neighbours. I believe however, that Homopithecus inhis earliest form could be ancestral to Homo erectus, but for now it remains only an interesting theory.

Soon Greg Foster and I will be off into the bush again in search of hairy men and women of the primitivekind. What new adventures await us?
