The site contains commonsense guidelines plus links to external organisations. Here’s a preview: Survive the Sun & HeatBe prepared for extreme heat and sun exposure - you can dehydrate and be affected by harmful UV levels faster than you may think. Stay Safe in the Water Be prepared for hazards in and around the beach, river or pool and always supervise children - they can drown in just 5cm of water. Bushfires – Prepare, Act, SurviveBe prepared for bushfire and ember attacks - you don’t have to live right near the bush to be at risk.And remember, NEVER leave children or pets alone in the car. On a typical 30º summer’s day, the temperature inside a parked car can rise to 70ºC very quickly.

Section 94 (S94) Development Contribution Plan 2007 – Interim Update (2014)The City of Ryde’s S94 Development Contributions Plan came into force on 19 December 2007.In order to ensure that the Plan reflects State regulatory changes since its introduction and to assist those seeking to develop property to more clearly understand how it may apply to their project, Council has approved an update of the Plan. The objectives of the Plan have not changed. The modifications are designed to remove any ambiguities and risk of confusion. S94 Development Contributions Plan Interim Update (2014), including the associated new Summary of Contributions Rates documents will be available on Council’s website on 10 December 2014 and become effective from that date.For more information go to www.ryde.nsw.gov.au/s94

The above applications are not ‘designated development’ under the terms of the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act, and the City of Ryde is the authority responsible for the determination of the applications. Anyone may make submissions concerning these applications. Submissions are required to be in writing. They should be addressed to the General Manager and sent by post, email or fax or delivered in person to the Civic Centre or the Ryde Planning and Business Centre. Should the submission be by way of objection to the proposal, the submission should specify the grounds of objection. The City of Ryde has resolved that all submissions received in relation to rezoning and development applications will be publicly accessible on request. The supply of personal information is voluntary. However if you choose to make an anonymous submission it may be given less weight (or no weight) in the overall consideration of the application.
