What have you learned from your audience

feedback?

To collect audience feedback, I used survey services such as Survey Monkey to collect responses. I asked 5 individuals their opinion of my original draft and found that the draft for my music video was quite well received with an average score of 8 out of 10 when rated in terms of quality by respondents. The most notable fondness was of the video’s use of the black and white effect that gave the video a distinctive look and set it apart from music videos of genres such as pop and rap.

I also asked for recommendations for areas of improvement in this survey. I created a blog post detailing a summary of their responses off Survey Monkey. My summary stated that respondents felt that the biggest improvements were: a need to revise the exterior shots that were overly domestic looking with the shots of the back yard, to change the religious iconography in favor of a shot such as a candle burning down over time in a time lapse as well as other changes.

From this feedback, I made the necessary changes and then asked for the responses of people based on the changes. The survey told me that the final music video was more highly received with an average rating of 9 out of 10 in terms of quality. The final version was also more likely to be recommended to another person that the results stated from the original draft. This showed me that I had been successful in terms of improving my music videos using the audience feedback and that the necessary changes required from the audiences feedback led to audiences rating the piece as higher in quality.
