HISTORY

BADALONA HAD MORE THAN 75 MAYORS.

THE FIRST MAYOR WAS Jeroni Navarro from 1808 until 1812

This is the old townhall.

MAYOR FOR MANY TIMES: Sebasti Badia Gilbert 1868-1874

With the Civil War, in 1936, the town hall didn't have any authority during all the dictatorship.

FIRST MAYOR OF THE DEMOCRACY was

Mrius Daz Bielsa

NOWADAYS

Nowadays the mayor of Badalona is Maria Dolors Sabater Puig.

Organitzation Municipal Council:

The townhall is organized by the meeting of the 27 members.

They do politics, laws, economics laws..

They also control the mayors acts.

Councillors and deputy mayors

Councillors and deputy mayors are in charge of different areas: sport, schools, parks and gardens, streets

Mayor:

She decides the councils and the deputy mayors.

She Directs the municipal council
