For in the day of trouble He will keep me secretly in His booth. In the

is for you too!

Scripture speaks of a secret place where we can simply go, be alone, be

protected, pray, and hear from Yahuahshua. Knowing there is such a

place is a matter of faith. Going back time and again, that's a matter of

building a relationship. You need not have an advanced degree in any

subject, need not have memorized Scripture from beginning to end, but

instead be aware the YaHuWaH of Y’ISCHRa’EL has a place for each

Jew and Gentile who will open their minds and hearts to Him.

Page 4: Our journeys are taken according to YaHuWaH,s Commandments

Mt 6:5-8

When you pray, you shall not be as the role-fakers, for they love to

stand and pray in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that

they may be seen by men. Most certainly, I tell you, they have received

their reward. But you, when you pray, enter into your inner chamber,

and having shut your door, pray to your Father Who is in secret, and

your Father Who sees in secret shall reward you openly. In praying,

don’t use vain repetitions, as the Gentiles do; for they think that they

shall be heard for their much speaking. Therefore don’t be like them,

don't you see that your Father knows what things you need before you

ask Him.

The truth in reality is visited in this secret place AND must be shared by

those who will live or else ... they will perish ... in darkness.

It is written

Lu 11:33

“No one, when he has lit a Lamp, puts it in a cellar or under a basket,

but on a stand, that those who come in may see the Light.

Tehillim. 119:105

Your Word is a Lamp to my feet, and a Light (aur) for my path.

The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore when your eye is good, your

whole body is also full of Light; but when it is evil, your body also is full

of darkness. Therefore see whether the light that is in you isn’t darkness.

Page 5: Our journeys are taken according to YaHuWaH,s Commandments

If therefore your whole body is full of Light, having no part dark, it shall

be wholly full of Light, as when the Lamp with its bright shining gives

you Light.”

With this in mind, heart soul and strength let us study together in the

who see it from afar. The Secret Place, here, shines a bit of light so

many can see from afar. The topics we have chosen are addressed to

Jew and Gentile together. We do this because that is what the Bible

does. This opens the window to make more sense of what Scripture tells

us!

In the secret place is plain language, something simple to read. This is a

mere starting place for deeper consideration.

Shemot 17:1 All the congregation of the children of Ysra'al set out from the Desert of Siyn, by their journeys, according to YaHuWaH’s commandment, and

encamped in Rephidim; but there was no water for the people to drink.

Set out: literally, pulled up (tent pegs). We must often uproot things we have allowed to grow deep in order to move on. Some will be left behind, others transplanted to the new ground to which we move; the new environment will not support some of them. Travelling with the

people of Ysra’al means relocating our priorities, knowing what to keep

Page 6: Our journeys are taken according to YaHuWaH,s Commandments

tending and what not to waste time on, and replanting where our hopes are. Some tent pegs become useless after they are used a few times or

hammered into harder surfaces; the more we discard, the lighter our burden becomes. Sometimes we need new understandings that will hold

our camp in place better than what we had before.

Congregation: from a word meaning “witness”.

Individuals alone are not an adequate witness to YaHuWaH in this

world.

The reason YaHuWSHuWaH could not restore the Kingdom to Ysra’al at the time of his ascension

Acts 1:6-8 Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, “Our Master,

are you now restoring the Reign to Ysra'al?”

He said to them, “It isn’t for you to know times or seasons which the Father has set within His own authority.

But you will receive effective Power when the Ruwach haQadosh arrives

upon and becomes operative in you. You will be witnesses to Me in Yahrushalom, in all Yahuwdah and Shomeron, and to the farthest

extremity of the earth.”

Was that the congregation was not all gathered yet?

. In Scripture, salvation is about a unified people, not individuals, and until we get to that place, none of Ysra’al can be saved. The word stems further back to a root meaning “repeat”, for when we are like-minded we

will all recount the same story, for we will have a common history. R’fidim means “slacknesses” or “relaxings”. The word for

“camped” literally means reclined or laid back. Being at ease, having YaHuWaH's blessing of free food, they became lazy and lost their edge. No water: symbolic also of no word from YaHuWaH. When we are too comfortable, we rarely do learn from Him. We are not to relax

about seeking righteousness. We may have tasted of it, but until we are eating of it all the time, it is no time to relax. This is something our

ancestors broke, and we need to fix it. They had been born into slavery, so they had much that needed to be changed. We, too, have grown up

Page 7: Our journeys are taken according to YaHuWaH,s Commandments

among Gentiles, so we will make some mistakes, but we must not continue in them.

Shemot 17:2

Therefore the people quarreled with Moshah, and said, “Give us water to drink.” Moshah said to them, “Why do you quarrel with me? Why do

you test YaHuWaH?”

I.e., "It is He, not I, who has brought you here. Certainly after all you’ve seen, you know by now that He can provide and that He cares about you!" They should instead have been thankful that they would

have another occasion to see Him provide. Yet they seem to have learned nothing, and are complaining again. Moshah also gets a bad report today too. But notice that he is no longer speaking through Aharon, for he is comfortable with the Hebrew language by now.

Shemot 17:3 The people were thirsty for water there; and the people murmured

against Moshah, and said, “Why have you brought us up out of Mitsrayim, to kill us, our children, and our livestock with thirst?”

Why: This is the third time they asked him such a question, and they are

testing YaHuWaH’s patience. Sometimes He dares us to test Him to show that He is trustworthy, but through doing what He says so we can see the results, not by whining. Kill me: They do not even say, “to kill us”, for each one’s focus is still on himself, not on being a community. The word here for "livestock” is based on the word for "possessions" or "acquired things". They had been slaves--themselves "possessions"--only a short while before, but now they had already set their hearts on the things they had been given, although they did not yet know how much they would need to sacrifice to YaHuWaH. But those who keep

livestock would have had thousands of gallons of milk! They had something to drink, but thirsted for what they did not have, just as they were hungry for meat when YaHuWaH was providing them with bread. They would not be truly thirsty until the animals had had no water for several days, and they had just come from a place where they must

certainly have filled their water bottles, so they would not dry up today. By the time they ran out completely, they might be at the next campsite,

so what they really wanted was wealth—more than they needed at

Page 8: Our journeys are taken according to YaHuWaH,s Commandments

present, so they could feel secure about a tomorrow that they were never even promised. YaHuWaH knows what we need, and His

provision will be there when we need it, but probably not before. They also never asked how they themselves could help find water or start

digging; they expected Moshah to do everything for them! They really

were in "R’fidim" [the place of laziness].

Shemot 17:4 Moshah cried to YaHuWaH, saying, “What shall I do with these people?

They are almost ready to stone me.”

Shemot 17:5

YaHuWaH said to Moshah, “Walk on before the people, and take the elders of Ysra'al with you, and take the rod in your hand with which you

struck the Nile, and go.

YaHuWaH was still merciful, but reminds the people of the first plague as

a warning of what could become of them, too, if they persist in complaining. The rod also showed he was still a shepherd.

Shemot 17:6

Behold, I will stand before you there on the Rock in Choreb. You shall strike the Rock, and water will come out of it, that the people may

drink.” Moshah did so in the sight of the elders of Ysra'al.

Page 9: Our journeys are taken according to YaHuWaH,s Commandments

Choreb: the site of Mt. Sinai, and probably less than a day's journey from Refidim, which was only a rest-stop. Sinai was where they were meant to camp for a longer time, since it was where He had promised to meet them again. So the water source was already there awaiting them, and Moshah had to precede them since they were too impatient to put up

with the uncertainty for a short period of time. The rock: Shaul calls it a “spiritual rock”.

1 Cor. 10:4

And all drank the same Ruwachual drink. For they drank of a Ruwachual Rock that followed them, and the Rock was haMashiyach.

Not that it wasn’t real or physical also, but that it had a deeper meaning, being symbolic of the HaMaSHiYaCH, who makes YaHuWaH’s word

accessible to us. Shaul says this took place for our benefit, so we would not lust after evil as they did. Only the elders saw this miracle, so the

rest of the congregation would have to accept their witness.

Shemot 17:7 He called the name of the place Massah, and Meribah, because the

children of Ysra'al quarreled, and because they tested YaHuWaH, saying, “is YaHuWaH in our midst, or not?”

Massah means “testing” and Meribah means “strife” or “arguing”. It was

so shameful that they gave it two names. It is so sad that Moshah’ main memories of the place where such a miracle took place were of the

people’s whininess. Had they trusted YaHuWaH, they would still have experienced this miracle, but it would have been a mountaintop

experience. In our midst: i.e., serving us the way we want to be served. This kind of asking assumes He really is not with us; it is very different

from genuinely seeking Him in the situation. Once we leave our comfort zone, it quickly becomes obvious if He is with us or not. But the main

question is whether we are with Him. He promised to dwell among them when they built Him a sanctuary.

Shemot 25:8;

Let them make Me a Dwelling Place that I may dwell among [within] them.

To this point they have only been given rules; now they are told to put

their hands to something, for this is the most effective way to keep them

Page 10: Our journeys are taken according to YaHuWaH,s Commandments

steadfast. Rituals help us under-stand the commandments. The purpose of having a giving heart (v. 2) --what is created when all do our part and give generously--is a dwelling place set apart unto YaHuWaH, separate from everything else, and like nothing else in the world. We are each to

contribute whatever we can to create a situation pleasing to Him. He

likes certain things in His house--not a physical structure, ultimately; that is only a picture of what He really wants us to be. The next chapters

detail how much of this and how many of that He wants in His "designer house". This is what Moshe’s longest encounter with YaHuWaH on the mountain is about, not about conquering Kanaan. He wants a tent to

move into and live in! But the conversation is only for those with generous hearts. If we hesitate, we will never understand these words. But a little bit of YaHuWaH moves in when they raise themselves up in

this way. But how does one build a tent out of olive oil? YaHuWaH wants spices and goats’ hair as well as gold. This is a very unusual list. Many of the things do not seem to go together. But "in their midst" can also mean "among them". He was interested in dwelling not in the tent as such, but with His people. We need enough generous hearts lifting

up our parts to get to the point where He can say, “I could live here; it’s

just what I want.” It is not about closet space, but about how His people treat one another: Are they equitable and just? He even

recognized the builders of the tower of Bavel because of their unity, though they were trying to prevent Him from bringing the proper rulings

detailed in the previous Torah portion. We need a “right-handed” version of that unity—not a building that He wants to tear down, but one

He wants to move into. As we get close to what was, we can get a better idea of what He is like and what He enjoys, and build His house accordingly. We don’t each have to build the whole thing; it is a joint

venture. There are two takings of the t’rumah. First, we must see what our part is and say, “Whatever I can contribute, I’m going to give.” Then YaHuWaH’s representative will take it up and join all the parts together. That is Moshe’s job. YaHuWSHuWaH used “Moshe” as

shorthand for the Torah he wrote. So the picture is now simple: what builds YaHuWaH’s dwelling place on this earth is provided by those who

are generous and can see themselves doing something about it. We each look at Torah in a different way, and they may not seem to fit with one another, but if we are all about building YaHuWaH’s dwelling place

and having Him at our core, these widely-varying people can indeed become one community. “It is more blessed to give than to receive”; when we give as individuals, we all receive the end product. But there are limits on this creativity: there are specific things YaHuWaH wants to go into His dwelling place. He does not ask for kerosene, though we

Page 11: Our journeys are taken according to YaHuWaH,s Commandments

might think it would burn better than olive oil. There are things that profit and things that fit—and things He does not want there. The Torah will teach us what to contribute, and as we turn it over to the Torah, it will be used when it is in season. The prophets tell us over and over what He wants. Can we envision a restored and reunited people of

Israel? If we cannot, how can we ever build it? See in them not just something that was, but something that still exists, and which we are a part of. Envision a people who love one another; experience a foretaste of it in community. Some can give gold, others only wood, but everyone has something to bring. So bring it! Let the word be made flesh again.

That is the Torah.

Shemot 29:43 There I will meet with the children of Ysra'al; and the place shall be set-

apart by My esteem.

It was a place of great beauty, but also one symbolizing death to self—the perfect balance of mercy and judgment, not one or the other. It was

also contingent on our keeping all His statutes.

1 Kings 6:12ff

Concerning this House which you are building, if you will walk in My

statutes, and execute My ordinances, and keep all My commandments to walk in them; then will I establish My Word with you, which I spoke to

Dawiyd your father. I will dwell among the children of Ysra'al, and will not forsake My people Ysra'al.” So Shelomoh built the House, and

finished it. He built the walls of the House within with boards of cedar: from the floor of the House to the walls of the ceiling, he covered them

on the inside with wood; and he covered the floor of the House with boards of fir. He built twenty cubits on the hinder part of the House with boards of cedar from the floor to the walls of the ceiling: he built them

for it within, for an oracle, even for the Most Set-apart Place. The House, that is, the temple before the oracle, was forty cubits long. There was cedar on the House within, carved with buds and open flowers: all was cedar; there was no stone seen. He prepared an oracle in the midst of the House within, to set there the ark of the covenant of YaHuWaH. Within the oracle was a space of twenty cubits in length, and twenty

cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits in its height; and he overlaid it with pure gold: and he covered the altar with cedar. So Shelomoh overlaid the House within with pure gold: and he drew chains of gold across before the oracle; and he overlaid it with gold. The whole House he

Page 12: Our journeys are taken according to YaHuWaH,s Commandments

overlaid with gold, until all the House was finished: also the whole altar that belonged to the oracle he overlaid with gold. In the oracle he made two cherubim of olive wood, each ten cubits high. Five cubits was the one wing of the cherub, and five cubits the other wing of the cherub: from the uttermost part of the one wing to the uttermost part of the

other were ten cubits. The other cherub was ten cubits: both the cherubim were of one measure and one form The height of the one cherub was ten cubits, and so was it of the other cherub. He set the cherubim within the inner House; and the wings of the cherubim were stretched forth, so that the wing of the one touched the one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall; and their wings

touched one another in the midst of the House. He overlaid the cherubim with gold. He carved all the walls of the House around with

carved figures of cherubim and palm trees and open flowers, inside and outside. The floor of the house he overlaid with gold, inside and outside.

For the entrance of the oracle he made doors of olive wood: the lintel and door posts were a fifth part of the wall. So he made two doors of

olive wood; and he carved on them carvings of cherubim and palm trees and open flowers, and overlaid them with gold; and he spread the gold

on the cherubim, and on the palm trees. So also made he for the entrance of the temple door posts of olive wood, out of a fourth part of

the wall; and two doors of Fir wood: the two leaves of the one door were folding, and the two leaves of the other door were folding. He carved thereon cherubim and palm trees and open flowers; and he

overlaid them with gold fitted on the engraved work. He built the inner

court with three courses of cut stone, and a course of cedar beams. In the fourth year was the foundation of the House of YaHuWaH laid, in the month Tsiv. In the eleventh year, in the month Bul, which is the eighth

month, was the House finished throughout all its parts, and according to all its fashion.

So was he seven years in building it.

Shemot 17:8 Then Amalek came and fought with Ysra'al in Rephidim.

Then: after they had gotten what they wanted, thinking they deserved it.

“The squeaky wheel gets the oil”, but at such a high price! It made YaHuWaH back away from them, and got them labeled as untrusting children. When we have more than we need, someone else always

thinks they have a right to it, and tries to find ways to take it. This time

Page 13: Our journeys are taken according to YaHuWaH,s Commandments

Amaleq used open warfare, but later he would only take advantage of the weakest—the stragglers who did not care to keep up with the

community

Deut. 25:17-18

Remember what Amalek did to you by the way as you came forth out of Mitsrayim; how he met you by the way, and struck the hindmost of you, all who were feeble behind you, when you were faint and weary; and he

didn’t fear Aluahiym.

or those weighed down most heavily by too much plunder taken from Egypt! They thought they had accomplished something (when in fact they had not yet reached their goal), so they let their guard down, and this itself empowered Amaleq. Amaleq was the son of Elifaz, grandson

of Esau, by his concubine Timnah.

Bar. 36:12 Timna was concubine to Eliyphaz, Esaw’s son; and she bore to Eliyphaz

Amaleq. These are the sons of Adah, Esaw’s wife.

From southern Kanaan, they attacked Ysra’al as they passed near the Reed Sea. The name Amaleq means "dweller in a valley"—the opposite

of those who seek the higher places. While the Ysra’al ites were in a

state of "slackness" (Refiydim), they were especially a prey to this people who are content to live on a lower level. They were on its “turf”.

It is actually an invitation for it to overrun us. All the other nations feared Ysra’al ; Amaleq went out of his way to attack this emerging

people when they were resting on their laurels, seeking the renown of being the ones to defeat them.

Shemot 17:9

Moshah said to Y’hoshua, “Choose men for us, and go out, fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with Aluhiym’s rod in

my hand.”

In their state of slackness, it was crucial that he select those who were really ready to fight.. This is a picture of the Father instructing

YaHuWSHuWaH in the selection of his disciples, who in turn would continue the battle against "Amaleq".

Page 14: Our journeys are taken according to YaHuWaH,s Commandments

Shemot 17:10

So Y’hoshua did as Moshah had told him, and fought with Amalek; and Moshah, Aharon, and Chuwr went up to the top of the hill.

Y’hoshua is obedient to Moshah—prophetic of YaHuWSHuWaH, It means "YaHuWaH is salvation". Power comes from the mountain, and he

needed to draw Amaleq onto his turf so he could defeat them. When we do what the Torah says, we are on higher ground, for Amaleq does not understand commitment or corporate purpose; it only understands the

language of “me” and “mine”. (cf. v. 3)

Shemot 17:11 It happened, when Moshah held up his hand, that Ysra'al prevailed; and

when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.

Lifting up his hands is a real effort--the remedy for slackness. When we grow slack, Amaleq again has the advantage. The answer to the

question (v. 7) of whether YaHuWaH is in our midst or not is that when

we recognize Moshah authority, He is; when the rod of his authority is not lifted up, YaHuWaH is not in our midst. Y'hoshua was from the tribe

of Efrayim, so he was a son of Yosef. Ovadyah tells us that Yehuda’s enemies will only be defeated by the house of Yosef.

Shemot 17:12 But Moshah’ hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat on it. Aharon and Chuwr held up his hands, the one on

the one side, and the other on the other side. His hands were steady (emunah - root for "faith", belief, support" - first

usage) until sunset.

When our flesh receives more weight, Amaleq prevails. The enemy is often within our own selves. Moshah was over 80 years old, but Aharon

was at least 83, so he, too, needed help to support his brother. This stone would help. “Stone” essentially means “building block” in Hebrew,

for as we (the living stones) build Messiah’s house (His Kingdom), we uphold Moshah (symbolic of the Torah). YaHuWaH is also called the

rock of our salvation. The Torah in turn holds up YaHuWSHuWaH (the rod), when those who “bring light” (the meaning of Aharon) and those

Page 15: Our journeys are taken according to YaHuWaH,s Commandments

dressed in “bright white linen” (the meaning of Chuwr)—those righteous in their works

Rev. 19:8

It was granted to her (YaHuWaH's work) that she would clothe herself in

bright, pure, fine linen: for the fine linen is the righteousness of the Set-Apart-ones. (Our righteousness is of Him)

Support it. Chuwr has never been mentioned before. He represents those “laymen” who can be just as righteous in their upholding of the

Torah as those chosen for a more prominent position.

Shemot 17:13 Y’hoshua defeated Amalek and his people with the "mouth" of the

sword.

Amaleq and his people: Though the man Amaleq was long dead, there

is a spirit which continues to act through his descendants. It raised its head again from time to time.

Shemot 17:14

YaHuWaH said to Moshah, “Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Y’hoshua: that I will utterly blot out the

memory of Amalek from under the sky.”

I.e., make sure Y'hoshua hears it, because he is the one responsible to carry out what it implies.

Shemot 17:15

Moshah built an altar, and called its name YaHuWaH our Standard. (YaHuWaH Nissi".)

Nissi: my banner, sign, or raised standard—something conspicuous. I.e., YaHuWaH, rather than our complaints, is what is to be lifted up.

YaHuWaH was with them; now no one could get around the evidence. Moshah was increasing in wisdom; he sees that he must hold Ysra’al

responsible to build a place to give back to YaHuWaH because of our tendency to disrespect those from whom we receive so much when we

Page 16: Our journeys are taken according to YaHuWaH,s Commandments

Are not giving back to them. The remains of an ancient altar have indeed been located only a few hundred meters away from the 6-storey

high split rock.

Shemot 17:16 He said, “Yah has sworn: ‘YaHuWaH will have war with Amalek from

generation to generation.’”

YaHuWaH has sworn: literally, "a hand is on the throne of YaHuWaH". A “hand” is sometimes a Hebrew idiom for a memorial of something that must never be forgotten. YaHuWSHuWaH is now at the right hand of the Father. From the right hand of the One on the throne, the Lamb

who was slain received ...a book! (Rev. 5:7; see v. 14 above) His instructions remain the same. Hirsch translates it "YaHuWaH's throne

consists of war against Amaleq..." I.e., as long as Amaleq's name is still renowned, neither YaHuWaH's throne nor His Name is complete. His

people are still in this war. All the other nations were in fear because of what YaHuWaH had done in Egypt, but Amaleq thought Ysra’al had just

been “lucky” that time, while they might be “the lucky ones” the next time. (Deut. 25:18 says Amaleq “happened” upon Ysra’al and attacked

the stragglers, and from this the Rabbis deduce that the Amaleqites considered everything to be random and chaotic, that their experiences

had no meaning—a slap in the face of YaHuWaH’s order and purpose. And philosophy at that time was never separated from religion. For an

example of how they worshipped “chance”, see 2 Shmuel 1:6.) Generation to generation: Not all of them were defeated at this time.

King Agag, whom Ysra’al King Sha'ul was commanded to kill, but did not, lived long enough to father a son before Shmuel the prophet killed him (1 Shmuel 15). That son became the ancestor of Haman, who nearly

succeeded in genocide of the Jews during the Medo-Persian Empire (see the book of Esther). There are many uncanny parallels between that

account and the Holocaust in Europe in the last century. Hirsch translates it "YaHuWaH's throne consists of war against Amaleq..." I.e., as long as Amaleq's name is still renowned, neither YaHuWaH's throne

Page 17: Our journeys are taken according to YaHuWaH,s Commandments

nor His Name is complete. Until this goal is reached, His people are in this war. All the other nations were in fear because of what YaHuWaH

had done in Mitsrayim, but Amaleq thought Ysra'al had just been blessed that time, while they might be the blessed ones the next time.

Generation to generation: Every generation becomes slack, but when it

appears that no one cares, the enemy himself becomes slack, and that is when YaHuWaH will surprise him. The root meaning of "generation" in

Ibriy is "cycle" or "revolution". YaHuWaH's festivals come in such cycles, and by returning to His calendar, we can fight Amaleq's philosophy that

all is chance and happenstance--the true atheism.

-- the significance of Y’hoshua counsel to Moshah which takes up the entire chapter preceding the chapter of the Covenant --

So Moshah listened to the voice of his father-in-law, and did all that he

had said. Moshah chose able men out of all Ysra'al, and made them heads over the people, wardens of thousands, wardens of hundreds, wardens of fifties, and wardens of tens. They judged the people at all

times. They brought the hard causes to Moshah, but every small matter

they judged themselves.

And so when YaHuWaH concludes his proposal to Ysra’al with

Shemot 19:6

and you shall become for Me a kingdom of priests, and a separated

nation.’ These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Ysra'al.” [Proposal of YaHuWaH]

A separated nation: in a class of its own. As He prepares to bring her into the covenant of betrothal at Sinai, He wants her to have no doubt that He loves no one but her. He came to Mitsrayim to get her, but did

not stay; there were other Aluahiym in place there. He fought them for her, but has now carried her to His own home. (At this time, Sinai was

His special dwelling place.) Since YaHuWSHuWaH sent envoys to gather the lost sheep of the House of Ysra'al back into covenant through his blood, the same holds true for us (1 Kefa 2:9). Priests: to help others approach YaHuWaH. Ysra'al had its own priests (officiators), but as

YaHuWaH's firstborn, the entire people were called to be a priest, or light

to the nations. We officiate on His behalf, not our own—not even for the sake of Ysra'al as such, but for the sake of Tzion, which is Ysra'al as

joined together with YaHuWaH.

Page 18: Our journeys are taken according to YaHuWaH,s Commandments

"These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Ysra’al

", what does Moshah do?

Shemot 19:7-8:

„And Moshah returned the words of the people unto YaHuWaH."

And then too this Covenant was initiated with a marriage supper. Was all Ysra’al invited?

No, as it says

Shemot 24:9-14 Then Moshah, Aharon, Nadab, Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Ysra'al

went up. They saw the Aluahiym of Ysra’al. Under His feet was like a paved work of sapphire stone, like the skies for clearness. He didn’t lay His hand on the nobles of the children of Ysra'al. They saw Aluahiym,

and ate and drank. (YaHuWSHuWaH) YaHuWaH said to Moshah, “Come up to Me on the mountain, and stay here, and I will give you the tables of stone, and a law/instructions and commandments that I have written,

that you may teach them.” [thus they had not yet been taught - they were new] Moshah rose up with Y’hoshua, his servant, and Moshah went

up onto Aluhiym’s Mountain. He said to the elders, “Wait here for us, until we come again to you. Behold, Aharon and Chuwr are with you.

Whoever is involved in a dispute can go to them.”

Though fallible men occupy the offices in this structure as it is

manifested down here below, the structure has been there in heaven all along ("In my Father's house are many mansions"). The woman in Revelation 12 is both this heavenly city and her earthly counterpart

(verse 12): "

Therefore rejoice, heavens, and you who dwell in them. Woe (first Woe

trumpet) to the earth and to the sea because the Accuser has come down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has but a short time.”

Page 19: Our journeys are taken according to YaHuWaH,s Commandments

The Kingdom awaits two articles:

It awaits a personnel qualified to fill those offices in that holy edifice (as made plain in so many of HaMashiyach’s parables), and it awaits the day

when the structure of authority down here below is ready for her YaHuWaH.

That there is indeed a distinction between the Ysra’al ite nation and the elders of Ysra’al was plain when YaHuWSHuWaH entered Yahrushalom to become our Passover Lamb: "the multitudes" cried out with the words of

the messianic Psalm

Mt 21:9 The multitudes who went before Him, and who followed kept shouting,

“Hoshia'na to the Ben of Dawiyd! Baruk is He Who comes in the Name of YaHuWaH! Hoshia'na in the highest!”

The elders of Ysra’al, however, did not. Instead they killed him. So what

delays his coming now? The elders of Ysra’al!

Just as he told them

Mt 23:39

For I tell you, you shall not see Me from now on, until you say, ‘Baruk is He Who is coming in the Name of Master YaHuWaH!’”

David set the example. He would not take YaHuWaH's Kingdom by force, and neither will his Son. And therefore the Elijah ministry. Elijah and the

prophets prophesied but Ysra’al did not repent. John prophesied but Ysra’al did not repent. The third time, however, Ysra’al will repent

YashaYahuw 40:1-11:

“Comfort, comfort My people,” says your Aluahiym.

“Speak [you priests] comfortably to Yahrushalom; and call out to her that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned, that she

has received of YaHuWaH’s hand double for all her sins.”

The voice of one who calls out in the uninhabited land:

“Prepare the way of YaHuWaH! Make a level highway in the desert for our Aluahiym.

Page 20: Our journeys are taken according to YaHuWaH,s Commandments

Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low. The uneven shall be made level, and the rough places a plain.

The Qabod of YaHuWaH shall be revealed (YaHuWSHuWaH), and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of YaHuWaH has spoken it.”

The voice of one saying, “Cry!” One said, “What shall I cry?” “All flesh is

like grass, and all its beauty is like the flower of the field.

The grass withers, the flower fades, because YaHuWaH’s breath blows on it. Surely the people are like grass.

The grass withers, the flower fades; but the Word of our Aluahiym stands into the ages and beyond.”

Kepha quotes this in reference to the Good News that has enabled us to be reborn of incorruptible seed which enables us to have a pure love for

one another.

1 Kepha 1:22

Seeing you have ceremonially cleansed your beings by true obedience, through the Ruwach, into unfeigned love for the brothers, make a great

effort to look out for one another's best interest from a pure heart:

True obedience: literally, obedience of the truth. (It is not merely something to be held as an opinion.) Through the Ruwach: we are

supernaturally granted obedience, yet it is still walked out physically through loving our neighbors as ourselves. Indeed, if we do not know

the Torah, we have no idea of what it means to love our neighbors; we would have false preconceived notions of what seemed to be nice ways

to treat them, but it would not always be what was most beneficial.

1 Kepha 1:23

As a man having been begotten afresh, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible seed, through the Living Word/Miltha of YaHuWaH, which

lives and abides into the Ages.

His seed: we have a new parentage, and thus a new history, with His highly-valued blood thus transfused into us as well. The Aramaic version,

which is most likely the original (since it is doubtful that Kefa spoke fluent Greek), starts this verse with, “As a man”—that is, the one

Page 21: Our journeys are taken according to YaHuWaH,s Commandments

(united) new man Sha'ul speaks of in Eph. 2:15. Practicing the Torah makes us more than mere individuals and more than mere mortals; anything that is in us that is only of ourselves will decay away, but

whatever is His doing cannot; it lasts forever. Where, then, should our priority be?

1 Kepha 1:24

For, “All flesh is like grass,and all of man’s esteem like the flower in the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls;

1 Kepha 1:25

but the Word/Miltha of our Aluahiym abides to the Ages.”

[“All, of the flesh, are herbage; and all of its beauty like a flower of the field! Herbs wither, flowers fall, because the breath of YaHuWaH, it

blows on it – definitely the people are herbage. Herbs wither, flowers fall,

But the Word of our Aluahiym is established forever!”

YashaYahuw 40: 6-8

The voice of one saying, “Cry!” One said, “What shall I cry?” “All flesh is like grass, and all its beauty is like the flower of the field. The grass

withers, the flower fades, because YaHuWaH’s breath blows on it. Surely the people are like grass. The grass withers, the flower fades; but the

Word of our Aluahiym stands into the ages and beyond.”

This is the Word that is announced to you.

“Climb up on the high mountain, O herald of the glad tidings of Tsiyown! Raise your voice in the shout, O herald of the glad tidings of

Yahrushalom! Lift it up, have no fear! Say to the towns of Yahuwdah: ‘Here is your Mighty One!’

YashaYahuw 40: 9

Page 22: Our journeys are taken according to YaHuWaH,s Commandments

You who tell good news to Tsiyown, go up on a high mountain. You who tell good news to Yahrushalom, lift up your voice with strength. Lift it up.

Don’t be afraid. Say to the cities of Yahuwdah,

“Behold, your Aluahiym!”

Behold, the Master YaHuWaH shall come as a Mighty One, and His Arm shall rule for Him. Behold, His reward is with Him, and His recompense before Him. He shall feed His flock like a shepherd. He shall gather the

lambs in His Arm, and carry them in His bosom. He shall gently lead little by little those who have their young.

"absolute futility of life".

This also will be true of Ysra’al before HaMaSHiYaCH comes. Hence the prophetic significance of the reading of Ecclesiastes on the Feast of

Tabernacles:

Someday the message will click.

Then YaHuWaH will tabernacle with men.

We need to keep in mind the centrality of Yahrushalom in all this

because that's where it will happen -- not in Rome nor in London nor in Washington. YaHuWSHuWaH told his disciples

Luk 24:47-49,

"And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Yahrushalom. And ye are

witnesses of these things. And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Yahrushalom, until ye be endued

with power from on high."

What if they had gone back to Galilee early? What if they had not commutated Sinai in the upper room?

YashaYahuw 25:7:

And it is in Yahrushalom that the dark deception that clouds and befuddles humanity will be smashed

Page 23: Our journeys are taken according to YaHuWaH,s Commandments

"And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations."

YaHuWaH will not fight "his own" in Yahrushalom -- he will rescue them.

YaHuWSHuWaH promised

Luk 21:20-21, "And when ye shall see Yahrushalom compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. Then let them which are in Yahuwdah

flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto."

Some in Yahuwdah escape the troubles to come. What of the rest?

YirmeYahuw 30:7 Alas! for That Day is great since there is none that compares with it: it is

a time of dire straits for Ya'aqob; but he shall be delivered out of it.

ZekharYahuw 14:3

Then YaHuWaH will go forth and fight against those nations, as when He

fought in the day of battle.

From where will He go forth? From the Bridegroom’s canopy (Tehillim. 19:5), as YaHuWSHuWaH (who embodies/is YaHuWaH’s feet, v. 4)

completes the seven days in the chamber with His bride and comes with her to reconquer His rightful throne. When YaHuWaH went before Ysra'al

to battle in the past, not a man was lost.

ZekharYahuw 14:4 His feet will stand in That Day on the Mount of Olives, which is before Yahrushalom on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be split open

down the middle, from east to west, making a very great valley. Half of the mountain will move toward the north, and half of it toward the

south.

Page 24: Our journeys are taken according to YaHuWaH,s Commandments

He leads a united Ysra'al back into the Land together in a raid to rescue the remnant in the city and retake it as Yahuwshua did. When a present-day hotel was being built for tourists on the Mount of Olives, it had to be redesigned because a fault line was found running directly through the

initially-planned site. Yahuw’al 2:32 It will happen that whosoever shall call on the Name of YaHuWaH shall be delivered (saved); for in Mount

Tsiyown and in Yahrushalom there shall be those who escape [are delivered], as YaHuWaH has said, and in the remnant, those whom

YaHuWaH shall call.

Acts 1:11

Who also said, “You men of Galil, why do you stand looking into the sky? This One, YaHuWSHuWaH, Who was taken away from you into the sky will come back in the same way as you saw Him being transferred into

the skys.”
