The Past Perfect Tense Bingo GameWe use the past perfect tense to talk about an event that was completed in the past before another event has taken place.
E.g. I had walked to the shop to buy a newspaper before I ate my breakfast
Rules:
Hand out the bingo cards below to each player and cut out the caller cards.
The bingo caller picks one caller card at a time and reads aloud the present tense of the verb.
Each player must convert the verb into the past perfect form, E.g. climb → had climbed. If that verb tense is on your card, place a counter on it/ tick it.
Play continues until one player wins all the boxes on their bingo card. They must then create sentences using each of the past perfect tense verbs.
