Mae strategaeth iaith Llywodraeth Cymru, ‘Cymraeg 2050’, yn
cyfeirio at bwysigrwydd y Blynyddoedd Cynnar. Dyma ddarlun sy’n
egluro’r hyn y bydd Mudiad Meithrin yn ei wneud er mwyn dechrau
cyfrannu at y nod o greu miliwn o siaradwyr Cymraeg erbyn 2050. Mae
mwy o fanylion yn ein dogfen bolisi #MeithrinMiliwn.

Parti Pyjamas Mudiad Meithrin - Ebrill 23-27Yn dilyn llwyddiant
‘Parti Pyjamas Mwyaf y Byd’ y llynedd, mae’r Mudiad wedi penderfynu
pennu ‘Wythnos Parti Pyjamas’ eleni a hynny yn ystod wythnos olaf
Ebrill (23-27). Anogwn pawb i fynd ati i drefnu partïon pyjamas yn
eich cylchoedd fel ffordd syml a di-drafferth o godi arian.

Pecyn Gwasanaeth 2018/19Mae pecyn gwasanaeth ar gyfer blwyddyn
aelodaeth 2018/19 wrthi’n cael ei gynllunio a bydd yn cynnwys:

Gŵyl Dewin a DotiRydym yn falch o gyhoeddi mai’r cymeriad plant
poblogaidd ‘Ben Dant’ fydd yn cynnal Taith Gŵyl Dewin a Doti eleni
rhwng Mehefin 11 – 29. Thema’r ŵyl eleni yw ‘Ffrindiau’r Môr’ a
bydd copi o’r pecyn adnoddau ‘Fy Ffrindiau a Fi’ yn cael ei
ddosbarthu i bob cylch a meithrinfa ddydd cyn y Pasg. Bydd rhagor o
wybodaeth am leoliadau’r daith ar ein gwefan yn fuan neu holwch
eich Swyddog Cefnogi lleol am ragor o wybodaeth.

Dwylo’n Dweud - Cynllun Newydd ar Trydar a FacebookMae’n
holl-bwysig eich bod yn dilyn ‘Mudiad Meithrin’ ar Trydar a
Facebook gan fod yno lwyth o syniadau, awgrymiadau ac arfer da sy’n
cael eu rhannu’n ddyddiol. Un datblygiad newydd yw ‘Dwylo’n Dweud’
sef cyfres o glipiau wythnosol sydd yn cyflwyno iaith arwyddo BSL.

Spring Newsletter 2018New resources on the intranet!We have lots
of new resources on the intranet e.g. Llyfr Bach Piws (Little
Purple Book) for voluntary management committees on staffing
issues, Llyfr Bach Piws on employment issues, a messy play leaflet
for babies, a guide for Cylchoedd Ti a Fi and much more!
New section of the website for committeesWe will be launching a
new section for cylch voluntary management committees at the end of
March this year. The new page will contain lots of useful
information for old and new committees. Keep an eye out for
details!

WCVA Third Sector Awards CymruPictured here with TV presenter
Sian Lloyd are Dr Gwenllian Lansdown Davies, Iola Jones, Arawn Glyn
and Nerys Fychan who attended the annual WCVA Awards Ceremony on
behalf of Mudiad Meithrin after winning an award for ‘innovation in
fundraising’. The award was won for the World’s Biggest Pyjama
Party (held in 2017). In her acceptance speech, Gwenllian paid
tribute to all those who work on behalf of Welsh-medium childcare
and education supporting Cylchoedd Ti a Fi, Cylchoedd Meithrin and
‘Cymraeg for Kids’ groups.

Instagram accounts? We share good practice, refer to relevant
legislation/policy changes, promote important campaigns and also
run various competitions where money and or resources for Cylch can

Clwb Cwtsh #ClwbCwtsh is a new free #Welsh taster course aimed
at new Welsh learners and focuses on the language used at home by
parents. It may be of interest to the parents/carers of the
children in your care.During the course, children will be
entertained by Mudiad Meithrin’s staff to ensure that childcare is
not a barrier for people to join.

Wythnos Mudiad Meithrin Pyjamas Party - April 23-27Following the
success of last year's 'World’s Largest Pyjamas Party',
the Mudiad has decided this year to have a 'Pyjama Party Week'
during the last week of April (23-27). We encourage everyone to
start organising pyjama parties in your Cylch as a simple and easy
way of raising money for your Cylch. We are also pleased to
announce that parents can buy Dewin and Doti pyjamas from our
online shop for the event. Posters, guides, and many other
resources are available on our website:

2018/19 Service PackA service pack for the 2018/19 membership
year is currently being planned and will include: a free
translation service (with an annual maximum word limit), Dewin a
Doti ‘Helpwr Heddiw’ (Today’s Helper) stickers... and much
more!
Gŵyl Dewin a Doti FestivalWe are pleased to announce that the
popular children’s character ‘Ben Dant’ will be hosting this year’s
Dewin and Doti Festival between June 11 - 29. This year’s theme is’
Friends of the Sea’ and a copy of the resource pack ‘Fy Ffrindiau a
Fi’ will be distributed to every cylch and day nursery before
Easter. Further information about the tour’s locations will be
posted on our website shortly or ask your local Support Officer for
further information.
Care Inspectorate WalesCSSIW (AGGCC in Welsh) has changed its
name to Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW). If you have any questions,

Dwylo’n Dweud new project on Facebook and TwitterIt’s very
important that you follow Mudiad Meithrin on Twitter and Facebook
as there are a load of ideas, tips and examples of good practice
shared daily. A new development is ‘Speaking Hands’, which is a
series of weekly clips to present BSL sign language. As well as
enabling individuals with a hearing impairment to communicate,
signing can support the development of oral skills through the use
of visual gestures to support the understanding and communication
of the oral language.
Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) Cylchoedd are reminded
again of the need to register with the ICO and bear in mind that
this is included as one of your policies. The Information
Commissioner’s Office website is ico.org.uk. All new policies are
on the intranet (which is used by the vast majority of our
members).

Children are Unbeatable ‘Children are Unbeatable’ is the name of
a multi-agency campaign that Mudiad Meithrin has been supporting
for many years. We welcome the statement from the Welsh Government
that they are now consulting on the ‘Legislative Proposal to Remove
the Defence of Reasonable Punishment’. This would change the law to
ensure that children have the same rights as adults not to be
smacked or hit in any way. To read the consultation that is full of
