If ‘Yes’, why not join Mark and Claire of Natural Wight along with Jamie Marsh, Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust Reserves

Officer.

The work will be tree clearance and scrub clearance at the Wildlife Trust’s reserve, Sandown Meadows. The plan is to

finish off the tree clearance on the old settlement pond in preparation for re-profiling works and scrub clearance along

the fence lines. The aim is to improve the site for water vole, kingfisher, wading birds and wildfowl plus other wetland

bird species.

Free transport from Ryde and Newport 9.15am inclusive of return journey.

No experience is required, just a willingness to try your hand at outdoor conservation and enjoy being in a natural

environment.

Please wear clothing suitable to the weather: - old clothing, tracksuit bottoms or older jeans –and a rain hat!

Waterproof clothing and wellington boots are available.
