Dear Ones in Christ,

Greetings in His name from whom every good and perfect gift comes.

.-iS you may know, our congregation is composed mostl y of young peopleand chil dren. So we were happy to have a young Christian military couple become members in November. We already had two local women whowere attending regularly, so this makes a nucleus for an adult class. In January we had a potl uck dinner for the adults and their families. September, 1973

Dear Co-laborers in the vineyard,

"Praise ye Jehovah. .. Praise hi m for his mighty acts; Praise Himaccording to his excellent greatness, " Ps. 150:1,2. How we have seenHim at work during the past few months.

The mother of two little boys who attend our Sunday School , came withthem for the first time on Easter Sunday morning. She accepted our invitation to attend the Revival Fires Crusade in the afternoon. '.Ve made an appointment to teach her in her home, and she was immersed into Christ onMay 16, She works every evening but has only missed one Sunday morning service since then.

Another mother, who rededicated her life to the Lord during the Crusade, has been attending and faitlifully working for the Lord. She has been bringingtwo of her nephews along with her three children. vVhen she was in highschool she was a teacher in our Sunday School, but had not attended for years.

vVe are striving to remodel and repair this summer in time to get our licenseand open the pre-school on September 4. Ne finished the required new lanairoof just a few days before Julien left for the mainland. We owe over $500 forthe lumber and wondered where we could get the materials to finish the insideof the auditorium. The Lord provided as He always does. On June 7, as Julienwas dressed and ready to go to the airport, a BIG truck pulled into our driveway. It was our friend from Hicks Homes with a load of imperfect and leftover building materials which they could not use. Julien helped unload them in his suit. There were heavy beams, 2 x 8's, formica, plywood, insulation board--all thethings we needed to finish the auditorium, and all we needed to buy was the paint. We have worked for a month and have used most of the material. The auditorium

is finished except for a little trim and paint. It looks beautiful.

There remains one major obstacle to getting our pre-school permit. We shouldliaye our occupancy permit, and to obtain that we must have our front parkingarea leveled and a hard surface put on it. We can get it leveled by renting abulldozer for $200, but we will not have time to surface it ourselves, and do nothave the funds to hire it done. We pray that when it is leveled, th^will grantthe pre-school license. We only need 3 parking stalls for 30 children in a preschool and we have those. Of course, if we had $2000 or $3000 for the paving,we could possibly have the work done in time.

We are grateful to all those who have been faithfully supporting the work here withtheir prays and their support. We know that real sacrifice is sometimes involved. But more regular supporters are needed. While I was on the mainland, ourBuilding Fund offerings averaged $1249. 40 per month, but since I have returned, they have dropped to only $572.18. vVhile I was away the work here was hampered by the lack of a full-time minister and planner. When I returned to thework here, it was hampered by a lack of funds. Somehow we need to find a wayto undergird the support, so that I can be here to do the Lord's work, and yethave sufficient funds to finish the building, and make the $600 monthly propertypayments. Please pray with us that enough people will respond to the Lord'sleading and be generous with this support, so that this task can be finished. Assoon as the building is finished, I must find a lending institution that will lend us$57,000 to pay off our agreement of sale by the end of the year. vVe receivefrequent calls about our pre-school and several families are counting on sendingtheir childreii to us this fall. vVe must not disappoint them.

Along with working on the building, we are now planning a 3-day Junior Camp,I will be the dean and Henrietta and Mary Knichel, our summer intern fromOzark Bible College, will teach. We are also working on plans and crafts forour VBS to be held August 2Q-31. This keeps us busy, especially since we arewithout two of our good workers. Amy left on July 2 to attend the North American Christian Convention. Debby Blazer, our Christian Education Director, went with her to help drive across country and to take a short furlough. Sheplans to return with her mother about the middle of August. Mrs. Blazer wUlplay the piano for our VBS. Amy is enrolled for the fall term at Ozark BibleCollege.

May the Lord lead us all to do His will, and may we be willing to follow.

Yours to serve faithfully,

Charles C. Luttrell, for the family: Henrietta, Leta, Mark,Philip, and LoraAmy at OBC
