    FINANCIAL ASSISTANCEThe Y is a non-profit charitable organization thatstrengthens the foundations of our community.Thanks to our communitys donations t o t he

    Ys Good Kids Campaign, the Y offers financialassistance for programs and membership forthose unable to pay the usual fees. No one isturned away from the Y due to an inabilit y to pay.Financial assistance applicat ions are available atthe YMCA Member Services Desk.

    CAMP PAYMENTSRegistration for camp must be received no later

    than the Wednesday before the start of the campweek. A non-refundable $10 deposit per camper,per week must accompany registrat ions. (Nodeposit required for YMCA of the BrandywineValley preschool and school- age families or anyfamilies paying through automatic payment.)

    The deposit is credited toward the weekly fee. Allcamp balances are due the Monday prior to thestart of your childs camp week. Families with twoor more children signing up for t he same camp

    week receive 10% off the oldest childs weekly fee.(restr ictions apply). A weekly credit card draf t isavailable for camp payment (no deposit requiredwhen arranging draft payments). Just fi ll out thecamp draft form and every Monday we will chargeyour payment to your credit or debit card. Theform is available online: ymcabwv.org.

    LEADERS- IN-TRAINING (LIT)

    Ages 12 t o 13

    Weeks 1 through 10: June 11 to August 17

    The LIT program is a weekly camp for younger

    teens who are ready for more than the traditionalcamp setting and interested in developing theirgeneral leadership skills. LITs work closely withpeers t o develop communication, team work, goalset t ing, trust, decision making, organization andproblem solving skills, as well as participate inteen-orientated activities that are not available toother campers. Traditional camp activities, a fullday on the Alpine Tower, and exciting day trips are

    part of each weekly schedule.LIT Program (weekly session)

    COUNSELORS-IN-TRAINING (CIT)

    Ages 14 t o 15

    The CIT program is for t eens who are ready tobuild upon their general leadership skills and isoffered in two program options:

    CIT COURSE WORKWeeks 2 and 3: June 18 t o 29

    The two- week CIT Course Work program is a

    progressive, skills-based approach in which teens

    learn to be posit ive role models and camp leaders.

    CITs are mentored by camp staff while developing

    the 12 skill groups for leading children. CITs also plan a

    service project and day trip, and participate in CPR

    and First Aid training. Upon completion of the Course

    Work program, teens may apply for CIT Field Work.

    CIT Course Work (2-week session)

    Member: $450 Non-Member: $480

    CIT FIELD WORKWeeks 1 through 10: June 11 to August 17

    COURSE WORK IS A PREREQUISITE

    (CITs who completed Coursework last year arealso eligible for Field Work)

    The Field Work program enables CITs to use

    the skills developed in Course Work and apply

    them in the camp environment. It is considered a

    privilege to be part of the CIT Field Work program.

    Part icipants are carefully selected based on their

    successful completion of Course Work.

    CIT Field Work (1-week session)

    JUNIOR COUNSELORS (JC)Ages 16 to 17

    Weeks 1 through 10: June 11 to August 17

    The ultimate level in our Teen LeadershipDevelopment Program! JCs are paid campcommunity staff members who have successfullycompleted the CIT Course Work and Field Workprograms (or approved equivalent). JCs are subjectto a thorough applicat ion and interview process

    and must be available to at tend all staff t rainings ifhired. Only a few of these incredible opportunitiesare available, so apply early!

    YMCA Summer Camps are a great place to become a teen leader!Teens have great potential for leading others in ways that can have an incredible impact.! Our threeleadership development programs harness that potent ial through experient ial learning and doing.These programs are geared for teens who are highly motivated, ready to work AND play hard, and whodemonstrate the addit ional responsibilities in accepting the challenges of leadership!
