Don’t let our beautiful traditions die!
Please try to attend our Posadas. It is a beautiful way to start our preparation for the birth of our Lord. A reminder of the Love Mary our Mother and Joseph had for our Lord Jesus Christ.
FOURTH SUNDAY OF ADVENT FOCUS: Christian communities are called to share in joy. The interaction between Mary and Elizabeth can teach us about Christian community. The women share in the joy of being a part of God’s plan. Likewise, Christians can draw together to celebrate with one another, as well as to support one another. LITURGY OF THE WORD Micah prophesies that the ruler of Israel will come from Bethlehem-Ephrathah. The author of the Letter to the Hebrews writes that Christ said that he had come to do God’s will and that all have been consecrated through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. In the Gospel, Mary visits Elizabeth and the child in Elizabeth’s womb leaps at the sound of Mary’s voice. ENFOQUE: Las comunidades cristianas están llamadas a compartir la alegría.

1. The Archdiocese is once again participating in and promoting the Nine Days for Life Novena, hosted by USCCB. Information is attached. In addition to simple individual participation in this novena, we have invited different parishes/ministries from across the Archdiocese to lead the prayer on each of the nine days of prayer. Archbishop Wester will lead Day One (January 19) and Day Nine (January 27). Representatives of parishes across the Archdiocese will lead the other days of the novena. All of these can be viewed through the following
link each day at 6:00pm. That way we can participate together as an Archdiocese. Mass will be both in person and livestreamed for all to participate.
