1. Targeting Donors: Who Are They & How to Speak in Their Language Presented by Kivi Leroux Miller, January 12, 2015, 10 am Understanding your audience is fundamental to the development of any successful marketing effort. Our kickoff webinar is designed for beginners and veterans alike to identify and closely examine their potential donors for Giving Day. Equipped with this information, the session will offer strategies for creating the right content and adopting an editorial calendar now through May 3rd …and beyond.

2. Social Media 101: Getting Your Feet Wet Presented by John Haydon, January 19, 2015, 10 am Designed for organizations with nonprofit staff and volunteers who are still exploring the benefits of social media and have very limited experience with the basic platforms, this introductory training is designed to establish comfort with Facebook and provide participants with the basic tools they will need to support online giving.

3. Social Media 201: Taking It Up a Notch Presented by John Haydon, January 26, 2015, 10 am Designed for organizations with social media experience that would like to expand their reach and effectiveness, the focus of this session will be on audience engagement and strong content development. In addition, John will offer strategies for getting your organization’s various ambassadors (board, staff, volunteers, clients, etc.) involved with your online social media efforts.

4. Stewarding Online Donors: Treat Them the Way You’d Want to Be Treated Presented by Kivi Leroux Miller, February 2, 2016, 10 am Giving Day is all about online giving. For many nonprofits this is a new fundraising strategy or one where they have limited experience. This session will focus on how to build relationships and steward online donors in order to retain them and grow them into long-term supporters.

5. Securing Challenge and Matching Grants for Giving Day: Offer Your Donors Motivation Presented by John Haydon, February 9, 2016, 10 am The most successful fundraising organizations offer their donors a call to action by giving them incentives for making a contribution. This session will offer guidance in securing matching funds and the communications strategies for creatively motivating prospective and existing donors to meet these challenges.

6. Engaging Board Members: Offer Them the Tools to Succeed Presented by Kivi Leroux Miller, February 16, 2016, 10 am We all know that your organization’s staff is extremely important in making Giving Day a success. This year, supercharge Giving Day and expand your reach by actively engaging your board members and volunteers. This session will focus on making it easy tor these folks to get involved and be successful. Offer them an opportunity to have fun and feel part of Giving Day.

This series is a collaboration between SCANPO, Central Carolina Community Foundation and Coastal Community Foundation. Thanks to the generosity and commitment of these foundations to building the capacity of nonprofits in the Midlands and the Lowcountry, this opportunity, valued at $450.00, is available to SCANPO Members, Midlands Gives and Lowcountry Giving Day participants for $25.00 for the entire series. Non-members are able to sign-up for the series for $150.00.
