The Irish Blond An attractive blonde from Cork, Ireland, arrived at a casino. She seemed a little intoxicated and bet twenty thousand dollars in a single roll of the dice. She said, "I hope you don't mind, but I feel much luckier when I'm Completely nude." With that, she stripped from the neck down, rolled the dice and with an Irish brogue yelled, "Come on, baby, Mama needs new clothes!" As the dice came to a stop, she jumped up and down and squealed. "Yes! Yes! I won, I won!" She hugged each of the dealers, picked up her winnings and her clothes and quickly departed. The dealers stared at each other dumbfounded. Finally, one of them asked, "What did she roll?" The other answered, "I don't know - I thought you were watching." MORAL OF THE STORY Not all Irish are drunks, not all blondes are dumb, but.....all men.....are men! Global Facts About = Sex! at any given moment: FACT: 79,000,000 people are having sex - right now. FACT: 58,000,000 are kissing. FACT: 37,000,000 are relaxing after having sex. FACT: 1 old person is reading THIS.

Tam and I had a chance to do a photo shoot with the Blow Out girls. Michelle Munroe, Miss 2011 and Athena Bourne, Miss 2012. These beauty’s are local girls. We were happy they could make the time to take some pictures with us. Michelle and Athena were real busy that weekend, Those two were at every event through out the weekend. They were naturals, on this photo shoot. I started out wanting to get some shots with them on the Jim Everet’s 42 Harley Davidson 45ci flat head. His bike got a lot of attention at this years bike show, win-ning the Antique class, Peoples Choice and Best of show. Jim has had this bike for 5 years and has kept it in tip top con-dition. I even see him riding it every now and then and trust me it purrs like a kitten. Jim and his 42 has a history that goes way back. The bike was his friends back in high school in 1958. Jim was back home and purchased the bike back around 5 years ago. But Tam wanted to get a newer bike in this shot, it wasn't hard for me to find a

newer Harley that always turns heads. Gary Hargrove’s 2008 Rocker C was my first choice. This bike looks better than the day he took it home. Gary has put a lot of extras in to this bike. There are over 2000 sculls placed all over it. He had a custom passenger seat made with a back rest as these bikes don't come with sissy bars. This bike gets the miles put on it, when Gary isn't working, With the kind of work Gary does. This is one way of escaping. There is nothing like being on the open road to relive some stress. We would like to give a special thanks every one that helped us out on this shoot, Jim Everet, Gary Hargrove, Michelle and Athena. We had a blast, and we hope all of you did too.

Back Yard Tech Tips

I found a great book that has a lot of quick and inexpensive ways to keep your bike lookin and running at it’s best. The MOTORCYCLE HANDBOOK. I was impressed with all the little trade secrets and valuable advice that went into this book. I found it online, and it wasn't hard to order. But I found some of these to throw in here to try out. If you are like I am, trying to save a dime these days here are some tips I feel are handy. A Quick Fix For Hazy Windshields (Sometimes)... For hazy, clouded and dull plastic windshields that look beyond hope there is a trick that sometimes works to restore them to almost new condition. I am not sure why this works on some windshields and not others, but when it works the results are amazing. Get a roll of wide clear packing tape and lay down strips smoothly across the surface. Fold over the end of each strip so you have a handle to remove it with. Rub the tape smooth with your finger and then as you peel each strip off, if you are lucky, the oxidized surface will lift off with the tape leaving an amazingly clear finish. This neat trick has restored a lot of windshields that we would have previously thrown out. Since this works on some but not all hazy shields, I suggest you test on a small inconspicuous area of the windshield first. Some haziness and scratches in windshields can also be treated with a scratch removing polish, followed by a coat of wax.

Restoring Corroded Aluminum Parts Aluminum parts like fork legs, grab rails, engine covers and foot peg brackets that were once shiny and new looking can turn dark, or white and crusty looking from oxidation that has occurred under the protective lacquer coating. The method of restoring these involves removing the part whenever possible and treating the surface with a paint remover, steel wool and some elbow grease to remove the lacquer finish. The surface is then sanded with 400 or 600 grit waterproof paper to remove any oxidation damage, and then the final step of polishing is done to remove the light scratches and bring back the shiny chrome like finish. Large parts are best polished by someone with a high speed buffing wheel and a block of the right grade of jeweler’s rouge. Small pieces can be done by hand with metal polish if you have the patience. If you choose to recoat the parts with clear lacquer after polishing you should first clean the surface well with alcohol or brake cleaner to remove any traces of grease or metal polish. Use an automotive grade of lacquer that is heat resistant if spraying engine covers. The shine may be dulled slightly by the lacquer coating. If you don’t want to recoat the finished piece with clear lacquer then be prepared to repolish the finish occasionally by hand to keep the mirror shine. A coating of wax or light oil wiped on will help to protect unlacquered parts from oxidizing again.

Removing and Installing Grips Struggling to get the new grips installed on your bike? Here’s how we do it in the shop... Removing and installing them is a lot easier if you have an air compressor and blow gun attachment handy. Just point the nozzle under the outer edge of the grip and apply air pressure as you are pulling the grip off, then do the same to slide on the new one. The air pressure expands the grip enough to release some of the pressure against the handlebar. Of course, if the old grip has been glued on and will not release, you may have to cut it lengthwise with a razor blade. Be careful using this method on the throttle side because you may cut into the plastic throttle tube and damage it. This last resort method of removing the grip destroys it but you were ready to replace it anyway.

A Quick Fix For Stripped Threads Engine covers like the alternator, clutch, and valve covers are usually attached to the engine with small diameter steel bolts that thread into the aluminum engine block. Eventually you will probably over torque one of these bolts and the threads in the engine block will strip. The best way to permanently repair this problem is with a helicoil insert kit, but there are times when that repair is not easily done on the spot. You don't always have a fresh cover gasket or the right size of thread repair kit on hand but need to temporarily solve the problem. The trick here is in knowing that the threaded area of the engine block is often deeper than the length of the bolt, and if you can find a bolt that is slightly (1/8"-1/4") longer than the original bolt you can often screw into some undamaged threads! You need to grab as many new threads as possible but avoid using a bolt that is long enough to bottom out and cause more damage. Compare the length of the old and new bolt and try to gain 4 or more threads in length. Then slowly screw in the new bolt and see if it grabs new thread. Don't get greedy and tighten it too much, and be careful not to bottom out. If the new bolt seems to be a touch too long add a few washers to shorten its reach and try again. If this works you have just bought yourself some time until you can repair the damaged threads properly. And the next time, go easy with that wrench when screwing those small engine cover bolts into aluminum engines!

Restoring Faded Black Plastic They are everywhere.. the inner rear fender, gauge cover, bad shrouds, bar switches, signal light housings, inner fairing sections...anywhere you find unpainted black plastic parts you will eventually notice that the black satin finish is starting to turn dull and grey. This is mainly caused by repeated exposure to the sun. One detailing trick we use to refresh the finish of certain black plastic parts is to spray them with Tire Shine or AD2000. There are actually a number of similar products that are silicone based and work well on most plastic materials of this nature, though I suggest you try any of them on an inconspicuous area first as a test. Spray on, let it sit for a few seconds, and then wipe off with a clean cloth. Voila ... back to shiny black again! The renewed finish lasts a long time, and is easy to touch up when required. When compared to the alternative of buying these faded plastic parts new this tip can save you a lot of money.

Spider Webs In Bar Switches It sounds strange, but actually this is a common problem on bikes that have been stored for a while. If you have a problem with the starter button, horn, headlight or kill switch and it worked fine before storage, you might want to open up the switch and have a look inside. There are usually two screws holding the switch housing together, and inside there will be one or more individual switches which can be carefully disassembled for inspection. Or if you don't want to risk losing any small switch parts, you might try spraying some contact or brake cleaner into the switch and blowing it dry with compressed air. Most bar switches can be tested with an ohmmeter at the end plug to determine if there is a problem before you get into any disassembly. If some component related to the bar switches is not working properly it is easier and cheaper to check for a problem with the switches first before getting into testing the components and possibly misdiagnosing a problem.

Well I hope some of these will help you out, if not try finding the Motorcycle handbook There is 63 chapters and illustrated pictures to help you thru. The Focus throughout the book is on solving (and avoiding) common problems, saving you money and increasing your safety. If it was worth writing about, it's included in the book!
