There was a little city with few men in it; and

a great king came against it, besieged it, and

built great snares around it. Now there was

found in it a poor wise man, and he by his

wisdom delivered the city. Yet no one

The highest, most important ministry of the

church today is being filled by NAMELESS

people.

Face it, our small cities (churches) have

become besieged by the enemy and the

greatest snare youll ever have to navigate

around is found right inside the church.

We need wise men and women inside the

church to deliver this city.

What is a wise man or woman?

Therefore whoever hears these sayings of

Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise

man Mt 7:24

It is not enough to KNOW about prayerit issomething that must be DONE!

It is a weapon of mass destruction that must

be USED! For though we walk in the flesh, we do not

war according to the flesh. For the weapons

of our warfare are not carnal but mighty inGod for pulling down strongholds, 2 Cor.10:4

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord

and in the power of His might. Put on the

whole armor of God, that you may be able to

stand praying always with all prayer and

supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to

this end with all perseverance and

supplication for all the saints Ep.6:10-18

Our greatest weapon is prayer.

Note Paul said there were many KINDS of

prayer and supplication. We dont need MORE

information about prayer. We are already the

most OVER-informed and ILL-equipped

generation the church has ever seen. WE

SIMPLY NEED TO DO IT!

When the Church is in the condition of prayer

Gods cause always flourishes and His kingdom

on earth always triumphs. When the Church

fails to pray, Gods cause decays and evil of

every kind prevails. In other words, God works

through the prayers of His people, and when

they fail Him at this point, decline anddeadness ensue EM Bounds

The early church saw this need early.

but we will give ourselves continually to

prayer and to the ministry of the word.

Then the word of God spread, and the

number of the disciples multiplied greatly in

Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests

were obedient to the faith. Acts 6

This is the most difficult discipline to maintain.

So many distractions, so many attacks to move

the church from prayer.

Whatever you do apart from prayer is apart

from God. Jesus said to WATCH and PRAY that

you do not enter temptation.. What is the

temptation? That you will do something apartfrom prayer!

Now about that time Herod the king

stretched out his hand to harass some from

the church. Then he killed James the brother

of John with the sword. And because he saw

that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further

to seize Peter also Acts 12:1-3

Peter was therefore kept in prison, but

constant[earnest] prayer was offered to God

for him by the church.

But the word of God grew and multiplied.

You are My Son,

Today I have begotten You.

As He also says in anotherplace:

You are a priest foreverAccording to the order of Melchizedek;

who, in the days of His flesh, when He had offered

up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries

and tears to Him who was able to save Him fromdeath, and was heard because of His godly fear,

Heb.5:5-7

If Jesus needed to pray AND His prayers were offered

up in impassioned cries and in the tears of

brokenesshow much more do we need to pray?

Thus says the LORD, The Holy One of Israel, and hisMaker: Ask Me of things to come concerning My

sons; And concerning the work of My hands, you

command Me.

Isa.45:11
