Between each ancillary task and the main product there are elements of continuity.

The video includes an image of the CD cover which is one of the ancillary tasks.

The design of the CD cover is also used in the other ancillary task which is the magazine ad.

Here you can see the use of blue and rainclouds are consistent with the CD cover showing that this magazine task is relevant to the other ancillary task.

I’ve also mentioned the well-known music store HMV in both the magazine ad and music video.

Another form of continuity that can be found is the album title “Don’t Ask Me”. This can be found in each product.

So in conclusion, I think each product complements each other well enough to show that they are all promoting the same product which is the album “Don’t Ask Me”.

I believe these elements is what makes them look like genuine media products.
