Enrichment class and will then be escorted to Mascot Clubs.
• All outdoor enrichment classes will run indoors on rainy

• If for any reason, there is a COVID related school closure, all
enrichment courses will be moved to an online platform to fulfll
class meetings.
• Children must follow all school and district behavior
expectations and policies. Failure to comply may result in
suspension or removal from class without a refund.

REMINDERS: 1. School year Mascot Camp is for students enrolled in
preschool (4 years old only) through Grade 6. 2. You must register
and pay for Camp Days in advance. Failure to do so may exclude your
student(s) from camp. Sign up early as space is
limited. 3. New and Current Mascot families may register online at
pvschools.net/childcare or by phone at (602) 449-2200. New families
will
be required to complete registration paperwork and deliver to
Community Education at 15032 N. 32nd St., Phoenix, AZ 85032 before
services are rendered.

M ASCOT CLUB CALENDAR
Mascot Clubs Before and Afterschool Childcare Mascot Club is a
fee-based childcare option available at 20 elementary schools
designed to provide opportunities for children to learn and play.
Activities are aligned with Arizona Quality Standards for
Out-of-School Time Programs. Trained and caring staf supervise
children as they participate in a variety of activities designed to
meet their special interests and needs.
Mascot Club operates Monday through Friday. Morning hours are from
6:30 a.m. until 30 minutes prior to the start of school. Afternoon
hours are from school dismissal until 6:30 p.m. Transportation to
and from each program is the responsibility of the parent. Mascot
Camps are also available on select holidays, recess days, and
during the summer. Please see page 25 for details.
Important Registration Information Please note that there are a
limited number of spaces available at each site based on licensed
capacity and available staf. Programs fll quickly and are stafed to
ratio per Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) standards.
Once sites reach capacity, a limited number of families will be
placed on a waitlist. Removal from the waitlist takes place on a
rolling basis throughout the year as space becomes available. It is
important to note that registration must be completed on an annual
basis with returning families provided an early registration
window.

Important Information: Students enrolled in Mini Scholars, Little
Scholars and Montessori Pre-K Programs are eligible to attend

school year to be eligible for any recess day camps.

Important Information: 1. Enrollment in any of our programs,
including Gifted Preschool, does not waive the kindergarten

meet the age requirements of the program for which they enroll

Title I Preschools Title I Preschool is a federally funded program
that provides insruction for students who demonstrate educational
need. This program is provided at no cost to students who qualify.
Title I Preschool classes are taught by certifed teachers. These
full day classes meet Monday through Friday and follow the
district's academic calendar.
Eligbility Requirements To qualify for this program, students must
meet the following requirements:
• Must be toilet trained.
• Must be 4 years old before September 1st of the relevant school
year.
• Must live within the boundaries of a Title I elementary school in
PVSchools District.
• Must be identifed at risk of failing to meet the state's
challenging student performance standards (assessment is
required).

21st CCLC Programs After The Bell (ATB) Where afterschool is an
innovative playground. Teaching students to ... Connect,
Contribute, and Create!
After the Bell is a 21st Century Community Learning Center
(21st
CCLC) federally funded afterschool grant program currently located
at fve elementary schools and one high school.
21st CCLC grants strive to build and sustain out-of-school-time
learning opportunities that provide academically enriching youth
development while engaging families to be active partners in their
child’s success. Each site that has been awarded a 21st CCLC grant
received it based on a competitive application process that is
monitored by the Arizona Department of Education. Activities are
aligned with Arizona Quality Standards for Out-of-School-Time
Programs.
Target Audience Children are invited to attend the academic program
based on teacher recommendation and individual need. Children have
a choice to participate in enrichment programs that spark their
imagination. Space is limited. Snacks and transportation are
provided for qualifed children. To enroll in After the Bell, the
child must be a student at the site.
The Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Center (21st
CCLC) Title IV-B program is funded by a federal grant from the

Enrichment Classes Enrichment classes ofer children opportunities
to pursue interests, enhance abilities and talents, and engage in
higher- level thinking. Classes are ofered before and after the
traditional school day and help to expand each child's social,
emotional, physical, academic, and imaginative growth. New classes
are added each semester and summer. Children of all ages are
continually challenged, exposed to new and unique experiences, and
inspired to be lifelong learners.
Cost/Funding All Community Education enrichment classes are
fee-based and subject to availability. Payment is due at the time
of registration.

Athletes In Training (AIT) Sports – CS1045 This fall we are ofering
on-campus soccer and fag-football. Each week children will work on
skills and scrimmage against each other right after school.
Children can aim high, play hard, and laugh loud. Athletes will be
sharpening their teamwork skills as they play ofense and defense on

Paradise Valley United Parent Council is a district-wide parent
group that has been active in Paradise Valley Unified School
District for more than 40 years. Our primary goal is looking out
for the best interests of PVSchools’ students. We do this by
offering parents support, information, and opportunities to be
influential voices in the decisions that affect their children’s
education.
