Objectives: At the end of the lesson, pupils will be able to:

Activities: 1)Set Induction

Teacher asks pupils to sing the song I am Pat.

2)Teaching and Learning

Teacher highlights and shows the word cards Pat and tap. Teacher teaches pupils the phonemes /p/,/s/,/a/ and /t/ using the letters cards.

Teacher introduces new words that related to the sounds.

3)Activities:

Teacher tells pupils that they will play Hopping Bunny.

First, teacher draws four boxes that contain the phonemes on the floor. Teacher tells them the instructions of the game.

Instructions of the games:

The pupils have to jump on the first box and pronounce the sound and give an example of a word that starts with that sound correctly. If they cant pronounce the sound or give the word correctly, they cant proceed to the next box.

a)Teacher gives numbers to the pupils.

b)Teacher calls a few pupils based on the numbers they get.

c)Then, the pupils who are called by the teacher have to play the game. d)Pupils who answer correctly will be given rewards.

4)Enrichment: Mind Games

Teacher arranges word cards on the table. Then, teacher pastes the letters cards on the blackboard. Teacher calls up a few numbers and those who get the numbers have to come out and do the task. One pupil has to turn over the cards and match the cards with the letters cards on the blackboard. If the pupil cant do the task, the next pupil will continue.

5)Summing Up

Teacher and pupils sum up todays lesson.
