A warm welcome to a beautiful Water’s Edge where we have been blessed with much rain. The animals on offer are in excellent condition and should enhance any herd. We sincerely appreciate your attendance and hope you enjoy this day with us! We are committed and focused on produc-

ing quality stock for you; both the pedigree and commercial breeder.

This sale is once again held under the auspices of the Limousin Breed Society which means the ani-mals have passed rigorous inspection and herd health tests. All bulls have been fertility and the

females pregnancy tested. The bulls on offer are thick, powerful and good looking with excellent genetics and figures that will improve any herd. All females have been confirmed pregnant or are

with a calf.

Devlan’s breeding program keeps going from strength to strength and focuses particularly on the fertility and performance of our females; as can be seen by the BreedPlan “Cow group of the Year”

Awards which Devlan has won for the past ten years. We were recently awarded a 5 Completeness of Performance award by BreedPlan; an achievement which we are very proud of and hence the name of the sale today. This rating system assesses the quantity of pedigree and performance information and is a measure of quality assurance. Devlan has also won the South

African BreedPlan Herd of the Year in 2006 and the ARC National Most Improved Herd of the Year in 2015.

All bulls have been fertility tested, sheath washed and have tested negative for both

Trichomonas and Vibriosis by Wilgepoort Dierekliniek.

All females and breeding bulls / herd sires have tested negative for TB and CA by the

Standerton State Veterinarian (Certificate # 12/3/1/3-01/142/48).

All animals have been inoculated against Botulism & BlackQuarter, Anthrax, Rift Valley

Fever, Lumpy Skin and IBR.

All females have been confirmed pregnant by Dr Louis van Jaarsveld and have been in-

oculated against Contagious Abortion (RB51).

All animals in the herd have been regularly treated against external and internal para-

sites.

All sale animals have been inspected and approved by the Limousin breed society.

All stud bulls / herd sires have been DNA tested by Unistel.

Some calves will need to be DNA tested with Unistel due to the females being exposed

to more than one bull. Devlan will cover the cost of the parentage confirmation test,

but we will require the buyer to send the hair sample in as soon as possible after the
