Digwyddiadau Busnes Cymru Business Events Wales

A new approach

The main goal and ambition is for events to be :- (1) linked to the industry sectors being targeted

for inward investment, foreign direct investment and economic development throughout Wales,

(2) subjects of academic, scientific or medical excellence or innovation that will showcase Wales as a great place to study, work and live, as well as visit.

Y prif nôd ac uchelgais yw sicrhau:-

(1) yn gysylltiedig â’r sectorau sy’n cael eu

targedu ar gyfer denu mewnfuddsoddiad a buddsoddiad uniongyrchol o dramor, a’u cysylltu hefyd â gwaith datblygu economaidd ym mhob cwr o Gymru.

(2) Cysylltu digwyddiadau â meysydd lle mae rhagoriaeth neu ddatblygiadau arloesol i’w gweld yn y maes academaidd, gwyddoniaeth neu meddygol er mwyn dangos bod Cymru yn lle gwych i astudio, i weithio ac i fyw ynddo, yn ogystal â bod yn lle gwych i ymweld ag ef.

Wales achieves less than 2% of the UK’s business events value Opportunities to achieve economic benefit of up to £24 million p.a. Potential to increase market share from: − UK and international associations − public & third sector meetings − corporate meetings and team building events Benefits: direct visitor spend, economic development, profile raising, knowledge capital etc

academic sectors ie. to promote FDI / economic growth / Knowledge capital

− Develop and promote a distinctive Wales’ business events brand proposition

− Prepare and educate Wales’ business events product in anticipation of increased

activity
