jpn７月24日、広島市では、姉妹都市モントリオールについて広島市民にもっとよく知ってもらおうと、
『モントリオールの日』というイベントが行われた。遠い外国の姉妹都市に、広島市民が少しでも多くの関心を持つことを願って開催されているもので、地元企業のみならず、モントリオール市やカナダ大使館、カナダ観光局が協力している。
会場では、 姉妹都市セレモニー、音楽コンサート、写真展や物産展を通して、広島市民がモントリオールの街の雰囲気を味わうことができる。カナダ産のクランベリージュースやスモークミートの試食試飲もできるとあって、会場にはたくさんの広島市民が訪れた。
eng Montreal day—Sister city promoting event in HiroshimaThe city of Hiroshima, which is a sister city to Montreal, held a big event called “Montreal Day” on July 24th. In the hopes that Hiroshima citizens will take more interest in their overseas sister cities, this event was supported not only by many local businesses but also by the city of Montreal, the Canadian Embassy and Tourism Canada.At this event, Hiroshima citizens enjoyed the ambiance of Montreal through ceremonies, presentations and music concerts. There were also expositions of Quebec’s specialities and photographs. A tasting of Canadian smoked meat and cranberry juice have also made this event very popular.
fra La journée de Montréal—événement promouvant les villes jumelles tenu à HiroshimaLa ville d'Hiroshima, qui est jumelée à celle de Montréal, a tenu un grand événement le 24 juillet appelé « La journée de Montréal ». Espérant que les citoyens d'Hiroshima prendront intérêt à leurs villes jumelles dans d’autres pays, cet événement ne comptait pas qu’avec le soutient de plusieurs commerces locaux, mais aussi avec celui de la Ville de Montréal, l’Ambassade du Canada et Tourisme Canada. Pendant cette journée, les gens d’Hiroshima ont goûté à l’ambiance de Montréal grâce à des cérémonies, des présentations et des concerts. Il y a eu une exposition de spécialités québécoises ainsi que de photos. La dégustation de viande fumée et de jus de canneberges a également rendu cette journée très populaire.

モントリオールからの被災地応援メッセージ展示「モントリオールの生活」
英語教師のプレゼンテーションjpnこのイベント会場では、昨年に引き続き、
広島カナダ協会の協力のもと『ココ☆モントリオール広島特別版』を配布し、広島の人々にモントリオールに関するたくさんの話題を提供した。そして、ココ☆モントリオールが主催したモントリオールでの東北大震災復興チャリティーイベントで、参加者のみなさんが制作してくれた『パステルアートのメッセージカード』が、会場に展示された。来場者の中にも、被災地にボランティアで駆けつけたという人もいて、「遠いモントリオールの地で、日本の復興を願ってくれている気持ちがとてもよく伝わって来る。ありがとうと言いたい」と語っていた。このメッセージカードは、今後被災地の仙台市に送られる予定だ。
eng Support Messages from charity events in MontrealCoco Montreal has also participated in this event by distributing “Coco Montreal Hiroshima Special Edition,” full of information about Montreal, with the official support and cooperation of Hiroshima City and the Hiroshima Canada Association. In addition, at the event site, we displayed the pastel art message cards which were created by the participants of the charity event “Aidons le Japon!” held in Montreal in March and April to support the Great Tohoku Earthquake victims.
Many people stopped in front of the message cards and read each message carefully. One of the visitors said, “I can feel the friendship and warm support from Montreal people regardless of the physical distance. I would like to say thank you.” These message cards are scheduled to be sent to the affected areas in Sendai.
fra Messages de soutien des événements de charité à MontréalCoco Montréal a également pris part à cet événement en distribuant un « Coco Montréal édition spéciale Hiroshima » rempli d’information sur Montréal avec l’appui officiel de la Ville d’Hiroshima et de l’Association Hiroshima Canada. En plus, nous avons exposé les dessins au pastel qui ont été créés par les gens qui ont participé à l’événement caritatif « Aidons le Japon! » qui a eu lieu en mars et avril pour venir en aide aux victimes du tremblement de terre de la région de Tohoku. Beaucoup de gens se sont arrêtés devant ces cartes et ont pris le temps de lire chacun des messages. Un des visiteurs s’est exprimé, « Je sens l’amitié et le chaleureux support des gens de Montréal même si on est très loin. J’aimerais leur dire merci beaucoup ».

のは、モントリオールから４年前にJETプログラムで広島に来たというMalik Amir Ferozeさん。現在は広島で結婚し、１児の父。発表の中で、「モントリオールと広島には、たくさん共通点があります。まず、美味しい食べ物！お好み焼きとSchwart’zのスモークミート。次にスポーツ好きなこと。アイスホッケーのカナディアンズと広島カープ。そして、お祭り好きということ！とうかさん祭と国際ジャズ祭です。」と紹介した。「けれど、全く反対のこともあります。それは、冒険的とも言える暑い夏と凍えるほど寒い冬です」と言って、ケベックの真っ白な雪景色をプロジェクターに映し出すと、会場からどよめきが起こった。さらに「教師という観点から、国際交流に大切なのは、生徒たちが相手の国の言葉だけでなく、生活も学ぶことです。人々について学び、地域について学び、文化について学び、相違点と類似点を見つけること、そして究極には、自分自身について学ぶことだと思います」と結んだ。
eng Montreal Life—English teacher's presentation Mr. Malik Amir Feroze did a presentation entitled “Montreal Life” in front of the audience where he showed many pictures and movies. Malik is from Montreal and has been in Hiroshima for 4 years, teaching English under the JET program. He is now married to a Japanese woman and has a little girl, Maya. In his presentation, he said, “We have many similarities between Hiroshima and Montreal. First of all, great food! Okonomiyaki and smoked meat from Schwartz’s. Second, sports! Montreal Canadiens (ice hockey) and Hiroshima Toyo Carp (baseball.) Finally, we both love festivals! Tokasan Summer Festival in Hiroshima, and Montreal International Jazz Festival!” He also talked about the differences between the two cities, “at the same time, differences can be appreciated when one compares the exciting hot summer of Hiroshima with the freezing cold winter joys of Montreal.” Showing the image of a vast snowy landscape of Quebec sent a ripple
throughout the audience. At the end of the presentation, he concluded saying, “From a teacher’s perspective, it is important to learn in parallel about different peoples and places, to learn languages and cultures, to learn about differences and similarities. This ultimately means to learn about oneself.”

Malik, qui vient de Montréal, est à Hiroshima depuis quatre ans en tant que professeur d’anglais du programme JET. Il est aujourd’hui marié à une japonaise avec qui il a eu une petite fille, Maya. Lors de sa présentation, il a expliqué, « On a beaucoup de choses en commun, Montréal et Hiroshima. Premièrement, de la bonne nourriture! L’okonomiyaki et la viande fumée de Schwartz’s. Deuxièmement, le sport! Les Canadiens de Montréal (hockey) et les Hiroshima Toyo Carp (baseball). Et finalement, on adore les festivals! Le festival d’été Tokasan à Hiroshima et le Festival International de Jazz de Montréal ». Il a aussi parlé des différences entre les deux villes, « en même temps, on peut apprécier les différences lorsqu’on compare l’été chaud et amusant de Hiroshima aux joies de l’hiver glacial Montréalais ». L’image qu’il a montrée d’un grand paysage enneigé du Québec a fait sensation parmi l’audience. À la fin de sa présentation, il a conclut, « Du point de vu d’un professeur, il est très important d’apprendre sur différents peuples et cultures en même temps, d’apprendre différentes langues, de découvrir les différences et les similitudes. Bref, d’apprendre sur soi-même ».

ワッショイ、日本！
jpnケベックは各種フェスティバルが盛ん、Joie de vivre（生きる喜び）を満喫する機会に恵まれて
います。そんな場所でもすっかり恒例になった日本の祭り、「Matsuri Japon」がいよいよ今年、開催１０周年を迎えます！
日本の伝統文化だけでなく日本の今を伝えるのが祭りの役割。空手、柔道、弓道、居合道、合気道の伝統武術デモンストレーションに加え、浴衣【ゆかた】で楽しむ盆踊り、腹の奥底に響く和太鼓演奏、日本食を食べたり、お土産を買ったり、モントリオールにいながらにして、日本の祭りそのものを体験できます。獅子舞【ししまい】まで登場するというのだから、正月のめでたさまでやってくるおまけつき！今年は会場を日系文化会館に移し、８月１３日土曜日、午後１２時から９時半までの開催です。
遠い日本でも、８月はお祭りの季節。震災被害にあった東北地方の三大祭り「青森のねぶた」「秋田の竿燈【かんとう】」「仙台の七夕【たなばた】」はいずれもこの８月に開催予定。震災復興にはげむ中、祭りで元気を呼び起こそうという思いが結集します。「祭り」とは本来、神様と自分との「間」を「詰める」行事として始まったもの。神様に近づきこの命に感謝することは同時に、自分自身のうちにある生命力に近づき、再びその力に火をつけることにもなります。さらには、浴衣の袖が振れ合う隣人、神輿【みこし】をともにかつぐ仲間とも近づき感謝しあう日でもあります。
暑い夏を乗り切るのには、便利なエアコンも必要だけれど、流れる汗を拭いてあげられる距離に「間を詰める」＝「祭り」がベスト！飛び跳ねる命の躍動と、そこに横たわる心のくつろぎを抱きしめに、いざ行かん、Matsuri Japonへ！

eng CALL oUT "WASSHoI" For JAPAN!
Here in Quebec, we have a variety of festivals where we can fully enjoy the joy of life. Among them is an annual Japanese festival “Matsuri Japon,” which marks its 10th year this year.
The role of this festival is to convey not only Japanese traditional cultures but also the various aspects of Japan today. In addition to the demonstrations of traditional martial arts including karate,judo,kyudo (Japanese archery,) iaido (sword drawing,) andaikido(self-defense art,) there are a diversity of events where you can wear a yukata (summer cotton kimono) and dance bon-dance, enjoy the performance of Japanese drums, eat Japanese food, and buy souvenirs. It gives you an opportunity to experience the very nature of Japanese festivals despite that you are in Montreal. Furthermore, the lion dance, which is actually one of the New Year events, is also performed there. For this year, the site has been changed to the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre, and the festival will be held from 12:00 to 21:30 on August 13 (Sat.)
August is also the time of festivals in Japan. And this year as well, three major festivals in the quake-hit regions will be held in August. Among everybody else, those who are now striving to recover and get the things back in place get together to recharge themselves through these festivals. The Japanese word, Matsuri (festival) can be broken down to Ma (distance) and Tsuri(in other words, Tsumeru, meaning closing up.) In festivals, people get close to gods and express their appreciation for their life. And at the same time, they look at the lives within themselves and renew their vital force. Likewise, they feel grateful to each other, friends and neighbors.
The air conditioner is indeed useful and helpful for hot summer days. However, I suppose one of the best ways to get through the hot summer is participating in Matsuri (literally closing up the distance) where you can get close to your family and friends, and wipe off their sweat. So, why don’t you go to Matsuri Japon to feel the pulse of life and find a peaceful moment.

Ici au Québec, on a une variété de festivals ou l’on peut jouir de la vie. Entre eux, on retrouve e festival annuel japonais « Matsuri Japon », qui marquera son 10e anniversaire cette année.
Le rôle du festival est de représenter non seulement la culture traditionnelle japonaise, mais aussi des divers aspects du Japon d’aujourd’hui. En plus des démonstrations d’arts martiaux traditionnels, incluantlekaraté,lejudo,lekyudo(le tir à l’arc japonais),l’iaido (dégainer l’épée) et l’aikido (l’art de défense propre), on retrouve aussi une variée d’événements ou on peut porter uneyukata (un kimono en coton porte en été) et la danse debon, la performance des tambours du Japon, la cuisine japonaise et des souvenirs pour acheter. Cela nous donne la chance d’éprouver un festival japonais tout en étant à Montréal. De plus, la danse du lion, qui est un des événements du nouvel an, peut être vue là aussi. Pour cette année, le site a été change pour le Centre Culturel canadien du Japon, et le festival aura lieu entre 12:00 et 21:30 le 12 août (samedi).
Le mois d’août est aussi le temps de festivals au Japon. Et cette année, trios grands festivals auront lieu dans les régions qui ont été frappées par les tremblements de terre. Les gens qui se luttent pour pouvoir se récupérer seront tous ensembles pour se recharger lors de ces festivals. Le mot japonais « Matsuri » (festival) peut être divise pour formerMa (distance) et Tsuri(autrement dit Tsumeru, ce qui veut dire de fermer). Dans ces événements, les gens se rapprochent aux dieux et expriment leur appréciation pour leurs vies. En même temps, ils regardent leurs vies pour renouveler leur force vitale. De même, ils sont reconnaissants de leurs amis et leurs voisins.
L’air climatisé est très pratique pour les jours chauds d’été. Par contre, je suppose qu’une des meilleures manières de passer l’été est de participer au Matsuri ou l’on peut se rapprocher à sa famille et ses amis. Alors, ne voulez-vous pas aller au Matsuri Japon pour sentir le pouls de la vie et trouver un moment pacifique ?

ミシガン湖の湖畔に位置するため、風が強く ≪ウィンディ・シティ≫とも呼ばれているアメリカ合衆国第３の都市シカゴ。
この街の歴史で最も興味深いのが、アル・カポネに代表されるマフィアが街を牛耳っていた1920年代から1930年代。1917年に制定された「禁酒法」に伴い、酒類の密輸，密造，密売などで勢力を伸ばしたマフィア達があらゆる権力をその手中に収めていた。もちろん今は当時の面影さえないほど健全な街ではあるが、ぴんと張りつめた空気が漂っている場所がある。たとえば、映画
『The Untouchables』のシーンで、エリオット・ネス（ケビン・コスナー）と相棒（アンディ・ガレシア）が逃亡しようとするカポネの帳簿係を待ち伏せしていたユニオン駅構内で、撮影に使われたその場所に立つと、乳母車がスローモーションで階段を落ちていく名場面を思い出し、自分の身体もあっという間に当時へとタイムスリップしていく感覚になる。
また、摩天楼発祥の地でもあるシカゴは、世界最古の鉄骨高層ビルやアール・デコ調の気品高いビル、奇抜なデザインのビルが歩く人の目を引きつけている。数多くの有名な建築家が設計したビルが立ち並ぶダウンタウンは、まさに実物大の建築博物館そのものだ。
時折、頭上を走っていくシカゴループ高架鉄道の音は、ハリソン・フォード主演の『逃亡者』で重要な役目を担っている。妻殺しの疑いで追われているはずのリチャード・キンブルが刑事の元に掛けてきた電話の背景に、聞こえる電車の音、駅のアナウンス…、手に汗握る名場面だ。
そしてなによりもこの街の最大の魅力は、何といってもシカゴ・ブルース。ブルースという音楽は、アフリカから連れてこられた黒人が西洋音楽に馴染めずに（あるいは反抗して）作り上げた独特の音楽だそうだ。古くから通商の地であったシカゴにも多くの黒人奴隷が連れてこられた。彼らが辛くて苦しい労働の中で歌った、まさにブルーな心境を感じさせる悲しくて不安で、だけど生きる力が伝わってくるそんな音調になっている。
ライブ演奏が安価で楽しめる代表的な場所、BLUE CHICAGOのうす汚れた雰囲気の店内は、人々の汗と涙を吸い込んだ巣窟のよう。
シカゴの街を歩いている私は、人間臭い街の魅力に鼓動が高鳴りっぱなし。
そんなわけで、私はシカゴが大好き。

I like Chicago.Chicago, located by Lake Michigan, is the third biggest city in USA. Since the wind is strong there, it is also called “Windy City.”The most interesting period in this town history, is from 1920s to 1930s, when the Mafia represented by Al Capone, controlled the town. As the National Prohibition Act (Volstead Act) was established in 1917, the Mafia took control of the town by having a great deal of influence over smuggling, manufacturing and selling alcohol secretly. Of course, the town is now healthy and you can’t find any trace of those days. However, there is a place that tension is hanging in the air - the Union Station that can be seen in the film “The Untouchables,” in the scene where Eliot Ness (Kevin Costner) and his partner (Andy Garcia) lay in wait for Al Capone’s accountant who was trying to run away. When I stand at the filming location, the famous scene that a baby carriage was falling down the stairs in slow motion comes into my mind and I feel as if my body has been transported through time back to those days in a moment.Additionally, Chicago is also the birthplace of skyscrapers… There, you can see the oldest steel-frame high-rise building in the world, elegant high-rise Art Deco buildings, and buildings originally designed to catch the eyes of walking people. It's downtown, where you can find many buildings built by famous architects. It's just like a full-sized Architecture Museum itself.Sometimes, I can hear the sounds coming from the running trains over my head in the Chicago Loop, remind me of the movie. “The Fugitive” starring Harrison Ford. At one point, Richard Kimball who was supposed to be chased due to the doubt of murdering his wife, telephoned the detective. In the back ground of this scene, you can hear train sounds and station announcement, which made this full of suspense scene very famous.Above all, the most attractive part of this city is, after all, Chicago Blues. It is said that Blues music was a unique style created by black people who were brought from Africa
and couldn't relate to (or were opposed to) Western music. Many slaves were brought to Chicago, where most trades would take place. The melodies make me feel blue such as sad and insecure, yet powerful at the same time.A famous place where you can enjoy live performances at a low cost: BLUE CHICAGO. The slightly dated store looks like a nest that soaked up people’s perspiration and tears.While walking in Chicago, my heart can’t stop beating fast because the city is full of human feelings.That’s why I like Chicago very much!

J'aime Chicago.Située au bord du lac Michigan, Chicago est la troisième plus grande ville des États-Unis. Elle a hérité du surnom « Ville du vent » car le vent y souffle très fort.La période la plus intéressante de son histoire est celle des années 1920 à 1930 lorsque la Mafia, avec à sa tête Al Capone, contrôlait la ville. C'était l'époque de la prohibition depuis l'établissement du Volstead Act en 1917. La Mafia en a profité pour prendre le contrôle et utiliser son influence dans les domaines de la contrebande et la fabrication et vente illégale d'alcool. Bien sûr, cette époque est aujourd'hui révolue et la ville se porte bien. Cependant il existe un endroit où l'on peut se remémorer de ce passé : le Union Station. C'est à cet endroit, dans une scène du film « The Untouchables », qu'Eliot Ness (Kevin Costner) et son partenaire tente de
surprendre le comptable d'Al Capone qui tente de fuir. Lorsque je visite cet endroit, je revoit la célèbre scène où une carrosse
pour bébé tombe lentement des escaliers. Cela
me donne
l'impression d'être momentanément transportée dans le passé.De plus, Chigago est la ville où les premiers gratte-ciels furent érigés. Vous pouvez y voir entre autres, le plus vieux gratte-ciel avec structure en acier au monde, d'élégantes constructions de style Art Déco et des immeubles conçus pour attirer le regard des passants. Au centre-ville vous pourrez y admirer plusieurs gratte-ciels construits par de célèbres architectes. C'est tout comme un musée d'architecture grandeur nature.Parfois, je peux entendre les bruits que produisent les trains qui passent au dessus de ma tête sur la Chicago Loop. Cela me rappelle un autre film célèbre « The Fugitive » avec Harrison Ford. À un moment dans le film, Richard Kimball en fuite car il est accusé du meurtre de sa femme, téléphone le détective. En arrière-plan, on peut entendre le bruit du train, les annonces et autres bruits de la ville, ce qui a rendue cette scène très fameuse.Finalement, un des traits qui me plait le plus est le « Chicago Blues ». J'ai entendu dire que la musique blues a été créé par les esclaves qui venaient d'Afrique. Ils ont développé ce style unique car il n'arrivaient pas à s'identifier (ou s'opposaient) à la musique américaine de l'époque. Il faut noter que Chicago était la plaque tournante de la traite des Noirs, donc c'était là où les transactions se produisaient. Les mélodies du blues me font sentir triste et incertaine mais aussi pleine de force.Un endroit célèbre pour assister à des performance en direct pour pas cher : BLUE CHICAGO. Cet endroit un peu défraîchi me fait penser à un nid trempé dans la sueur et les larmes des spectateurs.Quand je marche à Chicago, mon coeur ne peut arrêter de battre car cette ville est remplie de sentiments humains.C'est pour cela que j'aime autant Chicago !

いでしょうか。
日本に限らず世界中で月は私たちの生活に何かしらの影響を与えていると考えられているようです。満月が近くなると出産が増えるとか犯罪が増えるなんてこと聞いたことありませんか？最近は月の満ち欠けが記されている手帳やカレンダーは珍しくありません。 今回はお月様との上手な付き合い方を生活に取り入れてみましょう。ここでお伝えすることはひとつの“考え方”です。
こうやって考えると何だか月を見るのも楽しくなりませんか？ 今年の中秋の名月は9月12日。月を愛でながらのんびり過ごした先人たちは 今の私たちより月と上手に暮らしていたのかもしれませんね。
eng When thinking of the month of September, the Harvest Moon comes to mind. Around the world, no other culture gives as much importance to the influence the moon can have on our lives than the Japanese culture. Have you ever heard that when there’s a full moon, the numbers of infractions and childbirths go up? Nowadays, you can easily get your hands on agendas and calendars integrating lunar calendars, in which the different phases on the moon are presented according to the days on which they are expected to appear. As he tries to regain bits and pieces of his memory, he mumbles the tale of "Sokotsunagaya," which turns out to be his best rakugoka storytelling performance.

This documentary depicts the past and present history of Totsuka Yacht School, a reform school for troubled youth where there were student deaths and disappearances in the early 80s. After being convicted for causing injury resulting in death, Principle Totsuka completed his prison sentence and returned to the school in 2006. This film follows the story of Totsuka Yacht School for troubled youth and sheds light on current youth issues in society such as exclusion and NEET (youth Not in Education, Employment or Training). The staff at Totsuka has stopped using corporal punishment on students, thus eliminating the tense climate. らできていますがおそばのような形状とムチムチとした独特の食感が特徴です。100グラムあたり6kcalと低カロリーで日本ではダイエットに活かす人も多いようです。また、ファイバーが多く含まれるので腸内の掃除に大変効果的です！
eng Discover the Japanese ingredient “Shirataki Noodle.” It is made from taro and its form is similar to soba noodles. Its texture has a unique chewiness. 肉じゃがじゃがいも 大2個 （又は中4個）たまねぎ 1個牛肉（薄いもの） 150グラム白滝 1パックしょう油 大匙3杯みりん 大匙１杯砂糖 大匙３杯酒 大匙2杯鰹だしのもと 小さじ2杯水 カップ一杯 1カップ＝250ｃｃ
じゃがいもは一口より大きいくらいにカットし水につける。たまねぎは縦半分に切り、横に１cm幅くらいに切る。肉はうすくそぎ切りにする。（牛肉が定番ですが豚肉でも美味しく出来ます。）
Cut potatoes into a bigger than bite size portions, and then soak them in water. Cut the onion in half, and then cut into 1 cm width. Slice the beef into small portions (Beef is traditionally used, but it can be replaced by pork, which also makes the dish tasty.)
Coupez les pommes de terre un peu plus gros qu'en bouchée, et puis les tremper dans l’eau. Coupez l’oignon en moitié, et puis les couper en 1 cm de largeur. Tranchez le bœuf en petites portions (le bœuf est traditionnellement utilisé, mais peux être remplacé par du porc, qui rend également le plat délicieux.)
白滝は長いので5cmほどにカット、熱湯で2分ほどゆがいて水気を切る。
Because Shirataki noodles are long when they come out of the package, cut them to 5 cm in length. Cook them in boiling water for 2 minutes, then drain.
Puisque les nouilles Shirataki sont long quand on les sort de l’emballage, coupez-les en une longueur de 5 cm. Cuire dans l’eau bouillante pour 2 minutes et égoutter.
油を適量しいて強火で牛肉を炒める。肉の色が変わってきたらじゃがいも、たまねぎ、白滝もいれて5分ほど炒める.
Heat a stew pot, add oil and cook the beef on high heat. Once the beef has changed colors, add potatoes, onion and Shirataki noodles. Cook for 5 minutes.
Faites chauffer une marmite, ajoutez l’huile et cuisez le bœuf sur un feu vif. Une fois que le bœuf a changé de couleur, ajoutez les pommes de terre, l'oignon et les nouilles Shirataki. Cuisez pour 5 minutes.
鰹だしの素を水で溶いたもの、砂糖、酒、みりん、しょう油を入れて弱めの中火で蓋をして20分。いもが煮えたら蓋を外し、火を強めて水分を飛ばします。時々焦げないよう混ぜてください。
Add Bonito-flavored seasoning dissolved in water, sugar, Sake, Mirin rice wine and soy sauce to the stew pot. Bring it down to medium heat. Cover and cook for 20 minutes. See if the potatoes are cooked and if they are, turn up the heat to boil down the soup. Stir if necessary, so as not to burn the ingredients.
Ajoutez l’assaisonnement au goût de Bonito dissout dans l’eau, le sucre, le sake, le vin de riz Mirin et la sauce soja dans la marmite. Réduire à un feu moyen. Couvrir et cuire pendant 20 minutes. Voir si les pommes de terre sont cuites, et si elles le sont, augmentez le feu pour réduire la soupe. Remuez si nécessaire, afin que les ingrédients ne brûlent pas.

Mirin rice wine – similarly to sake, it brings the flavors together. It is sweet, but that sweetness is half sugar.

Soy sauce – Basic Japanese condiment made from soybeans. It has a rich aroma.

砂糖 みりんでさっぱりとした甘味をつけるのに対し、こっくりとした甘味をつける。 白砂糖でも勿論構いませんが赤砂糖（カソナード）のほうがコクがあり個人的には好きです。
Sugar – While Mirin rice wine gives slight sweetness, sugar adds thickness to the flavor. White sugar works fine. I like to use brown sugar (cassonade), which adds savory.

ミシサウガの小学校から贈った救援物資
岩手県大船渡市立末崎小学校に無事、配送
オンタリオ州ミシサウガ市の小学生たちが「一人１バッグ」運動で東日本大震災被災地の岩手県に送った救援物資が６月３日、無事、宛て先の大船渡市立末崎（まっさき）小学校に配送された。物資の輸送費用はミシサウガにある物流会社
「Canaan Transport Group Inc.」（カンナン・トランスポート）の Perry Lo 社長が無料扱いで協力した。（ココモントリオール6月号掲載）
トロント岩手県人会の会員でカンナン・トランスポート社の社員、大石ももこさんから、「５月３日ミシサウガでコンテナに積み荷された救援物資は、６月３日、末崎小学校に配送され、６月６日
（月曜日）全校生徒に手渡されました」という連絡がe-nikka編集部に届いた。
大石さんは、「一人１バッグが届いたときの、末崎小学校の子供たちのあふれるような笑顔の写真が送られてきました。これらの写真を見ていた私も、当然、笑顔になりました。社長のペリーさんや輸送のお手伝いをした社の同僚たちもたいへん喜んでいます」と語る。
末崎小学校の今野隆弘（こんの・たかひろ）校長は、生徒たちが書いたお礼のメッセージの寄せ書きや写真を大船渡の郵便局から送ったが、カナダが郵便ストのため届かなくなってしまったそうだ。そこで、急きょ、Ｅメールに添付して、今回はなんとか写真を送ることができた。最近になって、やっと学校のコンピューターが使えるようになったのだという。
「一人１バッグ」のプロジェクトをなし遂げた私立小学校、Toronto French School ミシサウガ・キャンパスでは６月23日に修了式が行われた。その前日に、大石さんたちがたくさんの写真をプリントして学校に届けたので、夏休み前に間に合い、生徒たちに見せることができた。同校では、フレンチスクールの子供たちと父母の皆さんに宛てた末崎小学校からのお便りや写真をウェブサイトに載せてお知らせしたそうだ。「こちらの学校でも笑顔があふれました！」と大石さん。
カナダ側の関係者は、大船渡をはじめ被災地の皆さんが一日も早く元気を取り戻してほしいと願っている。

Relief aids from the “One Bag Per Person” project, sent to one of the disaster areas of the great Tohoku Earthquake, were safely delivered to their destination, Massaki Elementary School, on June 3rd, 2011. Mr. Perry Lo, president of Canaan Transport Group Inc., was kind enough to cover the cost of sending the goods. (This story appeared in the June 2011 issue of Coco Montreal.)Ms. Momoko Oishi, a member of “Iwate-Kenjinkai” and an employee of Canaan Transport Group Inc., sent the following message to the e-nikka editor: “Containers loaded with relief aids in Mississauga on May 3rd were delivered to Massaki
Elementary School exactly one month later, and were handed out to all students on Monday, June 6th.” “Pictures of the smiling Massaki Elementary School children were sent to us here in Canada. Looking at these pictures, I couldn’t help but smile. Mr. Perry and my co-workers who helped with the shipping were also very happy,” said Ms. Oishi.Principal Takahiro Konno of Massaki Elementary School tried to send pictures and cards filled with messages of gratitude to the students in Canada; however, because Canada Post was on a strike, he couldn’t mail them. Instead, he sent an e-mail in place of a letter, and was almost unable to send pictures. Recently however, students and teachers are finally able to use computers at the school again.On June 23rd, a graduation ceremony was held at Toronto French School (Mississauga Campus) where the “One Bag Per Person” project came to be. The day before graduation, letters and pictures from Massaki Elementary School were uploaded on to the school website so that the children (and parents) of Toronto French School could take a look.“They were full of smiles in this school too!” said Ms. Oishi.Officials of Canada hope that the spirits of the Japanese people affected by the disaster will soon be lifted.

Les dons du projet « Un sac par personne », envoyés à l'une des zones affectées par le grand séisme de Tohoku, ont été livrés sans dommage à leur destination, Massaki Elementary School, le 3 juin 2011. M. Perry Lo, président de Canaan Transport Group Inc., a eu la gentillesse de couvrir les frais d'expédition. (Cet article a fait parution dans le numéro de juin 2011 de Coco Montréal.)
Mme Momoko Oishi, membre de « Iwate-Kenjinkai » et employée de Canaan Transport Group Inc., a envoyé le message suivant au rédacteur en chef de e-nikka : « Des conteneurs remplis de donations du Mississauga ont été livrés le 3 mai, précisément un mois plus tard à Massaki Elementary School. Les sacs ont été par la suite distribués à tous les élèves le lundi 6 juin. » « Des photos d'enfants souriants de Massaki Elementary School nous ont été envoyées ici, au Canada. En voyant ces photos, je n'ai pas pu m'empêcher de sourire. M. Perry et mes collègues qui ont aidé avec l'expédition étaient aussi très contents, » dit Mme Oishi. Le principal de Massaki Elementary School, Takahiro Konno, a essayé d'envoyer des photos et des cartes remplies de messages de reconnaissance aux élèves du Canada. Cependant, il n'a pas pu les envoyer car Postes Canada était en grève. Il a alors envoyé un courriel au lieu d'une lettre, et n'a presque pas pu envoyer de photos. Récemment, les élèves et les enseignants ont pu enfin de nouveau utiliser les ordinateurs à l'école. Une cérémonie de remise de diplômes a eu lieu au Toronto French School (campus de Mississauga), là où le projet de « Un sac par personne » a vu le jour. La veille de la remise de diplômes, des lettres et des photos de Massaki Elementary School ont été mises sur le site web de l'école pour que les enfants (et les parents) du Toronto French School puissent y jeter un coup d'oeil. « Ils avaient tous de grands sourires dans cette école aussi ! » dit Mme Oishi.Les Autorités canadiennes espèrent que le moral du peuple japonais affecté par le désastre puisse bientôt se redresser.
