It is estimated that the luminousefficiency of LED's will double in5 years and almost triple in 13 years,consequently increasing theenergy saving.

iGuzzini has always been sensitive to needs and requirements of themarket; the Company utilizes itstechnical and cultural lighting know-how to offer highly innovativeinstruments that are able to knowinglycombine LED technology, design,and the top quality that has alwaysaccompanied iGuzzini products. Today’s modern life has ever morerisks tied to pollution and the need tomoderate the use of traditional energysources. We need to be more andmore vigilant when it comes to theenvironment.Lighting, therefore, has to contributeto energy savings and provide asolution to the rising costs ofelectricity, all the while yielding thesame lighting efficiency as always.

LED technology single-handedlytakes on this role. At first used forsignalling and indicator lighting, it hasradically changed, becoming today’s“light of the future”. LEDs haveinnovative and advanced technicalfeatures, as well as a very small size,which allow the products to beinserted into any light fitting. LEDs are therefore the most effectivealternative to traditional lamps(incandescent, fluorescent, and halogen) when lighting interiorsand exterior public, industrialand private areas.

PerformanceiGuzziniconcept

Via special devices (chips) it is possibleto insert and manage a large numberof LEDs in one fitting at the same time(even different coloured LEDs).This guarantees maximumcustomization and managementof light and colour to create beautifullight scenery.

An LED (“Light Emitting Diode”) has low energy consumptionand high potential yield. Producedand built without interior filaments (which are more fragile and subjectto rupture), or mobile parts, LEDsensure a longer life and moredependability compared to other lamps

In order to guarantee the LED fittings' top efficiency and maximumquality, iGuzzini uses a careful binningprocess for each solution, an accuratecontrol system, and a qualitativeselection of LEDs that will be usedbased upon the colour temperature of each. A colour range for each LED is determined so that the colourtemperature will remain constant.

Saving Energy is an issue thatrequires attention and dedication.As a testament to our devotion toenergy savings, "-CO2 ReLighting"was born. This project's objectiveis light quality by using less energy,and therefore less CO2 emissions.To do this, iGuzzini has made fittingsand lighting systems that usetechnology to contain the amountof energy that is used and thereforeto reduce pollution:

In these places the circularor square Ledplus available inmonochromatic and RGB versions offerexciting lighting directions. “All glass”Ledplus generates a diffusing emissionand is characterised by the extremeelegance of the material, the greatformal cleanness and the possibility of

• A monochromatic version and anRGB version with dynamic colourchanges are both available.

• The luminaires have an extra lightsodium-calcium glass, with no visiblescrews, for diffused lighting, thestainless steel lower ring isconnected to the tempered diffusingglass. The entire structure issupported by 4 fasteningcomponents made of AISI 304machined stainless steel.

Top-level design for a complete rangeof LED luminaires studied to meet alllighting requirements of urban areas.The introduction of new lighting polesfor Archilede and Lavinia, with largersize for Delphi and Lavinia bodies,and of the wiring-suspended Argo forinstallation in areas where the useof lighting poles or wall-mountedluminaires is not feasible, increasesthe potential and versatility of thisfamily. The technology has beenstudied to achieve maximum energysaving with minimum environmental

impact (up to 464000 kW h and195000 kg Co2 for 1,000 luminairesper year) together with excellentvisual comfort. These luminairesachieve a dramatic reduction ofrunning costs in public lightinginstallations, with the samelighting performance asconventional light sources. They guarantee uniform light,without shadows and without upwarddispersion of the light flux, makingan effective contribution for thereduction of lighting pollution.

Just like Light up Walk professional,Light up light uses the innovative LEDtechnology, taking full advantagesof RGB LED's and warm and naturalwhite colour temperatures. Idealfor garden installation, this circularrecessed luminaire delivers excellentlighting directions: the innovativesystem with double adjustabilityallows for changing the luminousdistribution to obtain the best resultsof the lighting scheme, by enlarging,reducing and directing the light beamaccording to the specific needs.

Light has always had a fundamentalrole. And it's on light that iGuzzini hasfounded its corporate identity anddeveloped its research. Either naturalor artificial, light is part of our life andaffects our biological rhythms anddaily activities. Over the years iGuzzinihas carried out an intense researchprogramme that has led to thedevelopment of lighting managementsystems to take full advantage ofcorrect lighting.

Back in 1988 the investigationstarted with Sivra; in collaborationwith Spazio S.a.S of Milan, theNational Research Institute, theLighting Research Center of theRensselaer Polytechnic Instituteof Troy and Futuro of Florence.The project demonstrated theimportance of correct lightingmanagement in work activities.Originally developed as a solution toproblems encountered in enclosed

settings, Sivra (Variable LightingSystem with Automatic Regulation)showed that the use of light canstimulate the human body, improveconcentration and productivity skills.Sivra is the first concrete result of theinvestigation, which has continueduninterrupted since then.

LMS Quick DALI joins the wide rangeof iGuzzini light management systemsto give a simple intuitive answer to the lighting requirements of single-area spaces where the correctlight must be provided in the correctamount and at the correct time. Nowadays spaces are able to give usa multitude of perceptions, cityscapes(no trattino), and movement.With maximum flexibility of spaceand customization of light direction,Colour Equalizer is an RGB colourmanagement system for lighting.It is used for indication, communication,attraction, and to create effective lightsequences and scenery.With a few simple steps, ColourEqualizer controls and manages LEDand fluorescent fittings. It builds afluid universe within which colourdesigns space, and becomes thesubject of attraction.With the Central control version,which can be coupled with theAmbience peripheral control, thesystem uses plug & play technology forits configuration, which makes it easilyand immediately usable. Central has auser display and is managed with aSmart Card which offers and activates aseries of set programmes. There is amultitude of effects: dynamic or static,timed, and alternating. The user hasthe opportunity to directly control thesequences via the Fast and Slowbuttons, which manage the durationof each single event.

The Ambience control version doesnot have a display. It can be operatedwithout the Central panel.In this case, a there is no Smart Card.Colour Equalizer is a complete systemthat produces extraordinary scenery inshowrooms, shops, and public spaces.It serves to indicate special paths inexhibitions, museums, and tradeshows. Matched with fluorescentfittings, the system works well withlarge surfaces, diversifying the colourof walls and the chromatic controlof large areas where people walkthrough, like exhibition areas, andentertainment venues. The system can be integrated withmotion detectors and it has beendesigned to be compatible with model503 wall-recessed panel-mount boxesand round 60-mm recessed boxes.Light is perception, yet colour ismovement. SAFETY SEALSIn order to guarantee operation and safety, public boards have established specific standards whichprotect the end user against risks. iGuzzini illuminazione in line with its policy of quality and safety,makes products which comply to these standards. The non-electrified components of the system(such as cover plates, couplings, etc.) cannot be considered as lighting fixtures and thereforeare not included in the standards used by the Quality Seal Institutes for their classification.However, all the components of the certified systems have been tested by the said Institutesto ensure compatibility and safety. The luminaires in the iGuzzini collection are designed in conformance with European standardsEN 60598-1 and more specific ones, therefore meeting these requirements in full, includingthe maximum temperatures allowed and considering the ambient temperature to be 25°C. For those countries or areas where the luminaires are to be installed with thermal andmicroclimatic references which are different from those foreseen (e.g.: swimming pools,premises subject to the risk of explosion, etc…), we invite you to contact us. For the correctinstallation of the luminaires, always consult the instruction sheet provided with the product.

GUARANTEEIn compliance with the European regulations we guarantee our products against defects for twoyears from date of invoice by filing a claim no later than two months after noticing the defect.However, iGuzzini can grant an additional warranty against defects of products for 3 years after thetwo-year warranty upon on-line registration at www.iguzzini.com and acceptance of specific conditions.
