Penang)

• Completed painting in: Mid April'14

• Location: Pinaon Time Tunnel. Jalan Green Hall, Georgetown, 10200 George Town, Penang, Malaysia

• Reason for painting: He drew a nautical chart and he did record Penang on it.

Background of Zheng-He(painting)

• He was a Hui court eunuch, mariner, explorer, diplomat, and fleet admiral during China's early Ming Dynasty.

• Born in year 1371 in Kunyang, Yunnan, China.

• Died: 1433 (aged 61–62)

• He commanded expeditionary voyages to Southeast Asia, South Asia, the Middle East, and East Africa from 1405 to 1433.

• Reason of died: After 7th voyage or defender of Nanjing. ( reserve)

• Malaysian entertainment legend

• born on 22 March 1929

• educated in Penang Free School

• more than 50 movies and more than 300 songs

• passed away on 29 May 1973 due to heart attack

• Icon of Malay entertainment in Malaysia

• Reason for painting: To make the history of George town more interesting.

Background story of “Win Win situation”• The opening of tin mines in Larut, through the infusion of funds

by Chinese merchants in Penang, generated enormous prosperity on both sides. It made Ngah Ibrahim one of the richest Malays in the region, while the Chinese merchants also reaped enormous profits.

• The tin-mining industry also brought modernization and improvement to public infrastructure.

• Ngah Ibrahim was implicated in the murder of JWW Birch, the first British Resident of Perak. He was then exiled to the Seychelles.
