    Roscoe the Rooster

Roscoe the Rooster made TakomaPark his home or 10 years, stakinghis territory on the lawn in ront

o and behind the apartmenthouses near Marks Kitchen onCarroll Avenue. Roscoe roamedthe city and had many neighborsprotecting him. Unortunately,Roscoe was involved in a hit andrun in February 1999. A lie-sizedstatue o Roscoe the Rooster, crated by local artist NormonGreene, stands on a pedestal in

ront o the clock tower in thecenter o downtown Takoma Park.

Roscoe will make special appearances throughout the Guide to highlight important inormation.
