PRAIRIE We’re Saving Prairie Plants for Kids! On Saturday, May 18 th we will be rescuing valuable prairie plants just west of Houston. These plants will be replanted at three local elementary schools as a part of Katy Prairie Conservancy’s Prairie Builder Schools + Parks program. We’ll spend part of our morning digging up rescue plants and use the remainder of our time planting these gems at Wilson Elementary (Katy ISD) and Berry Elementary School (Houston ISD) - both KPC Prairie Builder Schools. We will need help in transporting plants to these three great schools. If you can help transport plants please let us know. Date: Saturday, May 18, 2013 from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm Location: Bella Terra Rescue Site. Click here for a map . What to Bring: All participants should wear long pants, close-toed shoes, and a hat.
