Dear San Luis Rey Parishioners:

Next week I’ll move to St. Boniface: 133 Golden Gate Ave., San Francisco CA 94102, to work there. Then in August, I’ll be or-dained a deacon--Thanks be to God! This ordina on is now possible for me because of your kindness towards me and for giving me various opportuni es to minister among you and to learn much from you; also be-cause of your prayers. I’ve been touched by the prayerful works of the numerous volunteers and various ministries (including the Knights of Columbus) they offer to this parish. Clearly, this large parish has a wonderful and im-pressive staff, but certainly it cannot run without the help of your volunteers and your support. Some of your ministries support parents and families directly; not all parishes enjoy such ministries. I’ve also been taken by the spirit of community that unites and spreads the feel-ing of family--Body of Christ. This shows in your youth and in their involvement in the ac vi es of this commu-nity of faithful. I will miss you all and will keep you in my prayers.~~Bro. Louis Khoury, OFM

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY—SPECIAL HERO

When I was a baby, you would hold me in your arms. I felt the love and tenderness, keeping me safe from harm. I would look up into your eyes, and all the love I would see.

How did I get so lucky, you were the dad chosen for me. There is something special about a father's love.

Seems it was sent to me from up above. Our love is everlas ng; I just wanted you to know.

That you're my special hero and I wanted to tell you so.

By Chris na M. Kerschen

Dear parishioners: for your informa on, Fr. Adrian will be gone the whole month of July to visit his rela ves in Ire-land and enjoy a much needed rest.

REFLECTIONS AND ECHOES...

What began in September has now quickly come to an end…..difficult to contemplate that our final day of school was Friday, June 12! As WE collec vely reflect on yet another even ul year it brings to mind how truly blessed we are to be the parish school! We have definite-ly received many blessings this past year from our com-munity, a community that includes three incredible Fran-ciscan Priests, all of our wonderful parents, our new OMMS School Board and parishioners who con nue to support our unending commitment to educa on united with faith for the benefit of all! It is truly amazing to be part of such a generous, dy-namic community, one that con nually works to benefit all children a ending OMMS as well as future students plus all youth within the mul ple programs at the Parish! Therefore from all of US to all of YOU…THANK YOU! Our HALLS, CLASSROOMS and PLAYGROUNDS will now be empty, but the energy, laughter, and enthusiasm for learning within our community will “echo” un l Septem-ber comes again. May God gi each with a fabulous, fun-filled, faith-filled, family summer! Remember to stop in and say “hello” as we gather to celebrate our 38th Christmas in July, on July 11th and 12th! ~~Wanda King, School Principal

~~Hermano Louis Khoury, OFM
